#1 NATIONAL BESTSELLER • President Donald J. Trump lays out his professional and personal worldview in this classic work—a firsthand account of the rise of America’s foremost businessman.

“Donald Trump is a deal maker. He is a deal maker the way lions are carnivores and water is wet.”—Chicago Tribune

“I like thinking big. I always have. To me it’s very simple: If you’re going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big.”—Donald J. Trump

Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker’s art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it. Trump: The Art of the Deal is an unguarded look at the mind of a brilliant entrepreneur—the ultimate read for anyone interested in the man behind the spotlight.

Trump does the intro, reader sounds a lot like him. Finished faster than I expected.
The book is a bio to around 1987, when it was originally released. It's also got thumbnail sketches of a lot of his projects from his point of view. Listening to it makes you realize that to make big bucks, you have to know what you're doing.
Fascinating inside look at guys who build skyscrapers, especially for a guy like me that never put together a bigger deal than buying a home.

Where does Trump: The Art of the Deal rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This isn't among my regular reading choices, but upon Mr. Trump's election (and after reading Coulter's "In Trump We Trust"), commentators I read recommended this book for a look into President Trump's mind.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked this book in the same way I liked the Reagan Diaries - its an assembly of working day vignettes on activities and perspectives, and Trump's approach to business and people. It really provided insight into his deal making proclivities, his involvement -- and clashes -- with governmental entities and people, and his sense of style and accomplishment.

What about Kaleo Griffith and Donald J. Trump ’s performance did you like?

Kaleo's voice is well suited and very Trump-like in delivery, I thought.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Battles with bureaucracy and the making of the 45th President

Great Insight into our Deal Maker in Chief

As a Trump supporter I felt it wise of me to learn more about the man I intended to vote for. This book answered many questions and provided me with knowledge that helped me combat the propaganda and anti-Trump rhetoric. The conclusion of this book adequately clarifies the motivations behind Trump's presidential aspirations.

A glimpse at the man who'd become president.

Any additional comments?

Interesting stories and worth listening to, particularly for someone not in the real estate business as it puts into perspective the way big real estate deals are put together. If you are in the business, you will already know most of this, but the stories, particularly of the ice rink in NYC, are fun to hear. Regardless of your opinion of President Trump politically, this book shows his negotiating savvy and financial brilliance.
