This ia a very good story let me start by saying that. The cliffhangers in the first and 2nd book are huge. There is too much time inbetween books for me. I read alot and listen to atleast a book a day so I am likely to forget about the story line. I don't like going back to refresh just to finish. I knew there were 3 books probably just should have waited until the 3rd book comes out before starting this one.

FRUSTRATING

As I mentioned, in my review of, “Craving”, the first book of this series, I really hate the nature of the type of Cliffhanger this author uses, in these books. Most novels, in my personal experience, that end in Cliffhangers, resolve most of the main conflict/s and just leave one or two unanswered questions to entice the reader to buy the next book. This author has had the same main conflict, since the beginning, and has added more questions w/o any answers. I could have an unique response to this tactic, but I doubt it; I’m irritated as hell. Perhaps if book one and two were combined to make a 14+ hour book, instead of two 7ish hour books, I wouldn’t feel as cheated. So far, it’s cost two credits for one story and the closing statement after this book, informs the reader that the Conclusion will cost another credit. That’s three credits for one romantic suspense novel. Hmmm, it makes me appreciate authors like Kristen Ashley and Diana Gabeldon , and their considerations all the more. I mean, I can get a complete romance that may include 20 to 50 hours of entertainment, for a single credit. Perhaps Ms Hardt might consider that, likely, the consumers that purchase the most books are likely people who don’t work. Some of them might be rich housewives but, I think it’s more likely that more of the consumers are the retired or physically disabled who likely live on fixed incomes. Well, Ms Hardt, do you think about that possibility when you stretch out a single romance so that you can collect three times the cost of other author’s novels? Here’s some free advice, Readers that are loyal to their favorite authors probably buy more books than readers/listeners that feel they are being taken advantage of by constant Cliffhangers. Of course, this is my personal opinion and there are likely many that don’t agree.
(I’m still getting book three cause I’ve gotta know how this story ends!😡
