action and emotions

I am constantly surprised, reading this author, the complex and deep emotions and issues the characters work through. Also the action and romance can't be beat!

One of the best of the series, really like Damian and Penelope, the storyline is cool.

Great read/listen

Damon and Penelope’s story was so good. Their story has everything you love action, suspense mystery and chemistry. Tthere has been so many twists and turns I couldn’t stop listening to the book. Lexi Blake always leaves you wanting more and keeps you intrigued. As this series keeps going the characters get meshed out and you just want more and to learn more.
The narrators are great and keeps you interested

Pretty good story

This novel is in line with most of the others, in this series. It has a little action, an emotionally damaged hero, an emotionally healing heroine, and a little bit of kinky sex. Despite the title, it is not a hard core BDSM, M/s novel. It is more in line with the Fifty Shades level of BDSM. All of the books, in this series, have the same pattern; Man tries to deny his feelings for the woman, woman breaks down his emotional walls and they live HEA. So Basically, it's not a powerful novel that will stick with you but it's somewhat comforting in it predictably.

Good action, great chemistry! Penelope Cash and Damon Knight are a hoot when they aren't driving each other (and me) insane. Her awe and curiosity about the BDSM lifestyle are fun. I like her and the dynamic she brings into Damon's life, even if he has become a growly bear since the attempt on his life.

For as serious and suspenseful as this is, I found it to be equally comical. The antics of the McKay-Taggart team had me laughing on more than one occasion, i.e., International Super Spy vs Regional Super Spy. 😂 It really is a marvel that they manage to survive each day, let alone the mission. LOL!

I received an author's copy of the audio book. Ryan West continues as the series narrator. The accents and different intonations are wonderful. I enjoy listening to him. 🎧❤️🎧
