A hacker, a body, and a mystery that goes right to the top...

Thomas Blume is back, and this time he's deep in a case that could shake the very foundation of the country.

Hired to find a hacker with shocking government secrets, Blume works to find the man and stop the leak.

But when the bodies start piling up and everyone in the city seems out to get him, Blume must battle against the odds and team up with a new ally if he is to survive.

In an investigation that will take him from swanky nightclubs to run-down factories and the very heart of British government, can Blume crack the case and uncover the truth behind the fate of his family?

Another thrilling mystery by PT Reade. He grabs your attention from the very beginning and takes you on a wild ride to the end.

Jay Pritchard is Thomas Blume. He embodies the character and is very believable.

I’m really liking this new series so far, especially because these books are not all that long yet they are entirely captivating. Each chapter is utilized very well, and the book does an excellent job of maintaing your attention. Something is always happening in Snow Burn, just like in the first book!

Thomas Blume is a wonderful modern take on the hard-boiled detective, and the narration by Jay Prichard animates him perfectly. There are no accents used in this book (it is still set in London England) but I don’t think that really takes much away from the story.

If you liked the first book, Hard Fall, then you will probably like this sequel! There are so many great noir lines scattered throughout that fans of the genre will surely enjoy!

More Thomas Blume!

Book 2 has Thomas still in England, still trying to find the murderers of his family. He has found a case to work as a PI, so he won't be sent home. Thomas investigates and the bodies start piling up. Will he be able to trust anyone? I'll have to listen to the next book.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.

I read the first book on my Kindle while on vacation & was looking forward to listening to the series on Audible as now that i'm home, there's not much free time to read. However, this was so poorly narrated I could not even finish the second book. At the beginning the narrator had what sounded to me like an angry attitude which then morphed into an attempt at a John Wayne imitation. Maybe it's just me... Let me know if there's a change in narrator for the rest of the series & I'll skip to the 3rd book.

Dissappointed
