Here is the complete and unabridged tale of Ichabod Crane and his ill-fated visit to Sleepy Hollow. Half of the charm of the tale is Irving's beautiful prose, as he describes the glorious New England countryside. But of course there are chills galore when the Headless Horseman appears.

Beautiful writing and excellent narrator. Irving is a true master of writing tales only rivaled by Poe and Hawthorne.

Great story

Timeless classic that, once I got beyond the obvious racist overtones of some of its characters portrayals, spirited me back to a time long ago to spook me get again. Kudos to the narrator.

Ever since I was little and watched the Disney version I've always had a special place for the tale. It ranks up with Poe and Lovecraft to me. The narrator was what made this story come to life to me as I listen and imagined and I would highly recommend this tale,it truly worth the time

Always been one of my favorite tales

Overall it was well read. the story itself just didn't do it for me. Glad I didn't read it in high school. I know its a classic but it just bored me

I see why I didn't read in high-school

I had read this in my American Literature class and I blame the professor for making this short tale terribly boring. Having this be a favorite story of mine, I wanted to find an engaging audiobook version and I'm glad to stay I found it. the story is lyrical and flows so nicely with its strong descriptions. you really get a terrific image of what Sleepy Hollow looks like and the famous Icabod Crane. definitely worth having in your audiobook library.

A Pleasant Listen
