Helen awaits trial in a crumbling women's prison in Southampton. She has a fight on to prove her innocence from inside her prison cell, but this soon turns out to be the least of her worries.
A serial killer is picking off fellow inmates, thriving in an environment where there is truly nowhere to run. Is it a criminal giving in to their dark urges or a member of the prison staff preying on the captive population?
Helen must work fast to reveal this devious killer, all the time wondering if she will be next on her list . . .

What did you love best about Hide and Seek?
This was not as enjoyable as Little Boy Blue. Something is lost when Helen is not interacting with her co-workers regularly. It makes for a monotone read. What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I think the most interesting thing is that Aldridge has managed to stretch this character for 6 fairly enjoyable books. I think characters have to be REALLY interesting to sustain a series. Helen's personal baggage is starting to really get old, however, and I may not continue the series after this.Which character – as performed by Elizabeth Bower – was your favorite?
I really like Charlie but, as most of the leads in these books are female, after a while they all started to sound the same. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not particularly. I think they've become formulaic. They're still good but not as good as some other police procedurals.Any additional comments?
N/A.Little Boy Blue (Book #5) Continuation.
