Nothing surprising

I chose this book after reading Jane Doe which i liked due to the main characters unapologetic view of herself. This book was quite different and once again we see a middle-aged woman who gave up her personal dreams to pursue marriage , husband and kids and feels like an empty shell of what she used to be. It wasn’t a bad book, it just wasn’t a book that left any kind of impression.

Good Travel Audio

Listened to book while traveling and helped our trip to go faster. A little slow in spots and we fast forward through sex scenes. Highly recommend this book.

Reminded me of Gone Girl <br />

Slightly disappointed in the ending. Also a lot of before and after. Good narration. All in all a good lighter story than I usually listen to.

An unexpected surprise.

Finally, a story that didn't give away the ending. I loved the way each chapter was titled either Before or After and allowed you to follow the story in the present and past. A truly realistic view of how she sees herself through someone else's eyes and becomes that person, and finally finds her true self by looking deep within herself without letting others influence her.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the story the narration, and the characters.

I could not put this book down. It was a very interesting read. I will look for other books by this author, hoping there are others just as good. Thanks for a great read!
