Publisher's summary

The true story of a mysterious, dashing stuntman-turned-spy who may have been behind John F. Kennedy's assassination.

His name was René Dussaq. He was born in Buenos Aires and educated in Geneva and Cuba. He was a daring WWII paratrooper who parachuted behind enemy lines for dangerous undercover work in support of the French Resistance. He was a handsome, charming man who briefly worked as a Hollywood stuntman.

He was also a spy who may have killed John F. Kennedy.

The shocking new book Target: JFK reveals minute-after-minute of incredible, never-before-reported evidence that René Dussaq is the missing link in the assassination mystery that has puzzled America for half a century.

Fascinating, Intriguing, Better Than James Bond

Truth is stranger than fiction, this is the most interesting story I've heard in years.

Inconsistent

Too many historical facts that go contrary to this story for me to accept it.

Another Look At A Possible JFK Assassin

This was an excellent read. If you like to read about the WW II Jedburghs & OSS operatives, this is a fascinating read. Otherwise, there was little to support that this man was behind the JFK assassination although he was an assassin for the military and the US government. The inference that Ren´Dussaq was the assassin that killed Kennedy is based on a diary and encrypted notes claiming Dussaq was the killer of JFK. I otherwise loved listening to this book because of the WW II history.

No focus

The author is all over the place with meaningless detail. I had to check multiple times to see if I was listening to the correct book. I rarely return books, but this on goes back.

no evidence

The narrator is good, but the story is weak. No real evidence for JFK. Lots of bravado about his protagonist which there is some evidence of but not all of what is said. As conspiracy books go this one is not very good. Recommend JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why it Matters.

Misleading Title

Definitely not a book about JFK, the title is very misleading. I certainly would not have purchased the book if the title reflected what the book was actually about.

Interesting theory

Unsure if this is at all palatable, really a biopic of René Alexander Dussaq as related through The secret diaries of American Cold War spy Douglas Bazata. Both were OSS agents and Dussaq could have been a double-agent for Cuba.
Play it at least at 1.7 speed—narration is painfully slow otherwise.

Those interested in JFK lore will find it intriguing. Too many extraneous details submitted for the back story of Dussaq.

Must read for JFK enthusiasts

All I can say about this book is wow. This book filled in a lot of blanks as to what I have always believed happened with the JFK assassination and very interesting people spoke about in this book.
