Publisher's summary

What happens when the glass slippers pinch Cinderella's toes? When Jaine Andersen proposes a new marketing role to the local amusement park, general manager Dylan Callahan charms her into filling Cinderella's glass slippers for the summer. Her reign transforms Jaine's ordinary life into chaos that would bewilder a fairy godmother. Secretly dating her bad boy boss, running wedding errands for her ungrateful sisters, and defending herself from the park's resident villain means Jaine needs lots more than a comfy pair of shoes to restore order in her kingdom. First in the Storybook Valley series, a blend of sweet romance, chick lit, and fairy tale fun.

Charming! 🏰

This is a fun contemporary romance that is heartwarming and sweet. It is very entertaining, humorous and has delightful characters. Like any Cinderella type story, this one is a bit predictable, yet it is irresistibly charming. If you're looking for a contemporary fairy tale, look no further, this one's worth a listen.

Cute and Fun!

Stacy Juba is a talented author and Karen Commins did a great job performing this book. I found this book to be entertaining and an unusual storyline. Typically one does not think of Cinderella and playing one in a theme park as a means to ideal marketing job. Some of the characters were more likable than others (Dylan's grandfather was a favorite of mine). I felt bad for Jaine being taken advantage of by her sisters. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Fun & Unique Cinderella Tale

The author did an excellent job creating a unique and fun Cinderella inspired story. The story is set in an amusement park where the main character ends up dressing up as Cinderella to help out the new boss and provide extra hours before they can hire her full time.

The narrator did a fairly good job bringing the story to life. It was a fun lighthearted story with a HEA conclusion.

Her sisters were awful. I did not care for how they treated Jaine. I did like Dylan's personality, although, he did make me mad by jumping to conclusions. Dylan's Grandfather was great. I really liked him.

I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Loved the story and the Grandfather

I got this book via audiobook boom. The narrator was perfect for the book. She brought each character to life. Those twin sisters of Jaine were portrayed wonderfully. You could feel how they were taking advantage of Jaine. but I loved the instances when she stood up to them also. The story centers around Dylan getting his family's theme park back to being popular and how he falls for Jaine and Jaine who lost her marketing job due to downsizing helping him do this. They fall in love along the way. this is a sweet romance that held my attention. I would recommend this version of the Cinderella story. Little Red Riding hood was hilarious and Dylan's Mom was just too bossy for words.

Perfect combination.

This was an awesome book. Such a great twist on a modern-day fairytale. I use to work at a well known amusement Park as a fairly well-known character so I could totally relate to so much of this book! The writer did excellent job of weaving in the Cinderella fairytale without going over-the-tpo. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a sweet romances with a great twist of Comedy Perfect combination.

The narrator on the other hand, was not so great at this story. it's not that she did anything bad. it's just I couldn't picture her as a twentysomething bubbly Cinderella. She did really good job reading the story. It was just the voices that needed work.

Glass slipper worthy

Oh my every Cinderella needs both a prince charming and her glass slippers. This book was so cute. The romances was brilliant and it was full of snarky, impatient sisters, an extra busy schedule and even a villian. This is a clean romantic story that is appropriate for all ages. I highly recommend this book to others who enjoy true love stories. Both the author and the narrator have done a wonderful job creating this audio book. I did receive this book for free in exchange for an honest review and I also review books for Audiobooks Unleashed.

Okay story

** I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. **

I've had this audiobook for quite some time and have stopped and started it several times since. I had a hard time getting into it, partially because the narrator's voice was so different from how I pictured the lead character. The narrator sounds a lot older than Jaine. That was very disconcerting and the overall story was okay, but not riveting. I really wish there had been more interaction between the two love interests and more to support their relationship. This is a sweet, clean book and if you are looking for a light read, this book is for you.
