No, Briec has been spellbound by something altogether different, and if he doesn't tread carefully, what he doesn't know about human women could well be the undoing of his entire race.

The first couple of books this narrator read were cringe worthy on her performance. This one is less so. Story was good, a better narrator would have made listening to it more enjoyable. But, hopes are higher now for her performance to continue to improve as I listen to this series.

I love her strong characters you really care about them by the time you finish reading the book. And they can really make you laugh. Hollie Jackson can read me to sleep any time. She never messes up her voices. I can always tell who is talking. I always (at least so far) enjoy Shelly's book. She needs to write faster.

Superbly written story, highly entertaining, great storyline continuing from "Dragon Actually". A wonderful departure from others of the genre.

I've read the series, the audio allowed me to feel the story.. I intend to listen to the entire series. Highly recommend, the stories get bigger/better each book.

After listening to this story, I'm officially hooked to the series! I love how while this story is primarily about Briec and Talaith, it's also about all the siblings and everything else that's happening now that Anwynn is queen. Loving all the strong, sassy and capable female leads! The only thing I didn't like was how immature Izzy was, she didn't act anything like a strong 16 year old who has survived the worst and has been on the run most of her life. I hope she grows up a bit in the next book.
