I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. I have listened to several books narrated by Mary Phillips. She is English. Which in the other books was ok. But in this book I could not always understand her heavy British accent. 3 stars for her.
My heart is sad.

I listened to the audiobook version, and I have to say, I love Mary Phillips as a narrator. She has a wonderful, expressive voice, though her accent was a bit thicker than normal, and it took a little time to adjust. Once I got used to it, I really appreciated how she brought the story to life.
All in all, it’s a solid start to the series, and even though it took a bit to warm up to, I might just give book two a try!
