Out of prison and back on the streets, Daniel Faust returns home to a city on fire. The Chicago mob is making their play for control of Las Vegas, with an army of gunmen and a lethal shapeshifter on their side, while Daniel's friend Jennifer marshals the forces of the Vegas underworld. Staying on the sidelines isn't an option, especially when a Metro detective orders him to get the war under control - and if he can't, he'll expose Daniel's secrets to the FBI.

It's a bad time for ghosts of the past to come calling, but Damien Ecko is on his way with a hit list and a legion of walking corpses. Marked for death by the courts of hell, the mad necromancer plans on making sure that everyone who framed him, Daniel first and foremost, dies along with him. Hunted by the living and the dead, pushed to his limits, Daniel will have to be smarter, faster, and more ruthless than he's ever been. He'll need to call upon new, dark powers, and darker allies.

His enemies thought they took everything he had. They couldn't take his hunger. When this war is over, Daniel Faust will rise like a phoenix...or go down in flames.

i’m trying to listen to all of Mr Schaefer’s books in Faust’s world in the correct order, but it’s about all i can do to get through the Harmony books to (finally!) get back to Daniel! heee’s the saving grace of this series, well, him and all of his family. i absolutely adore Caitlin, and This time, that maniac who ‘can’t be killed by mortal hands’ is going down for real. lol, the scarlet-haired succubus will see to That.
he plays a minor role in this part of the story, but i simply love Caitlin in action 🥰
2 thumbs up and 5 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well, Daniel has finally grown up. Daniel has been going through the series and leaving people at his back defeated, humiliated, and wounded. Now many of them have banded together to take down Faust once and for all.

This journey is Faust's realization that his actions, mistakes, have brought more danger to his family and friends than he intended. He must work within the system instead of on the sidelines where his efforts have not been totally effective.

How committed is Faust to saving Vegas?

Daniel my Daniel. I still love my Daniel

Entertaining all tye way through. I didn't realize that this was the 6th book in a series which is my fault so I have to look up the rest. still it is a great story to get into. I work graveyard shift Security driving all around Las Vegas, it was nice to hear a story taking place in my humble city. Gove it a shot.
