A simple double-date night goes horrifyingly wrong for four teenagers when they take a detour to "Bubblehead Road." When the two boyfriends of the group decide to fulfill a dare by visiting a legendary haunted village in the woods, they find both the monsters that they're looking for and the monsters inside themselves. "Bubblehead Road," a horror story which explores how, in a certain light, we can all appear terrifying, can be found in the collection Certain Dark Things, also available on Audible.com.©2015 The Thought & Expression Co. This is a perfect, quick, little spook of a story. I only listen to audible for three things... driving, cooking and walking the dog. This was the perfect walking my dog story in every way. I don't know why it's so hard to find an entertaining, fun story, that has a narrator and/or an ending that doesn't ruin the whole thing. In the very beginning, when I first got "play", I was worried about the narration, but that quickly went away, and it was an absolute pleasure to listen to. To me, often a good narrator is one that you don't really notice, wherein it allows your imagination to make the characters, just like when reading. That was the case here. I've had a Hell of a time with a whole lot of flops lately. I haven't even been able to find a book, or even a short story that has held my attention for weeks now, until FINALLY... this was a really nice break from that bum run. I'm hoping that other stories in this collection will be the same.

Fun.

This reminded me of an old Twilight Zone episode, in the best way. This was a theme that Rod Serling explored many times, but it’s not worn out yet.

Strange choice of narrator, considering that the narrative character is a young woman.

Great story!
