THIS BOOK LITERALLY ROCKS TO THE METAL GODS!

Love the play on metal bands versus war bands. great book kept my interest with good story line and an underlying comedy of words in comparison to metal rock bands. Coolest and uniquely plotted book I've heard in quite a while. great book Mr Eames, I'll be looking fur more if your work in future. Well narrated also, the voice and accent were spot on perfect for these protagonist "Saga" worthy heroes!!!!

Fantastic Storytelling

I really enjoyed this book. There is good humor and really great banter. Not one of those fantasy stories where you are just in the head of the main character the whole time. You can really feel the comrade in this book. There is great action that will leave you wanting more in the end.

In my top five favorite books now

Sheer amazing narration and a story that had me coming back for more everytime i had i stop listening. Absolutely a must buy

One of the Best Books I've Read

This book was great fantasy, but also didn't take itself too seriously, so it was a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend. There was a lot of good adult action, language, and gore to set it apart from youth genres, and it was also loaded with comedy that fit perfectly to the themes of the story. I'd also like to note that the characters were all very likeable and interesting, especially when compared to most modern fiction.
The voicing was fantastic and compelling.
Definitely worth it!!!

Outstanding for a first book, a must read

This was the the most fun l've had reading and listening to any book, since Joe Aberceombie's ( Red Country ). I laughed my ass off, please, please, please get this book. If Nicholas Eames keeps writing like this, the man will become one of the greats.
