Working on highly sensitive diplomatic affairs, Darcy Prescott is a natural target for terrorist kidnappers. But when she's mysteriously plucked off a street in Manila one sultry night, Darcy's disappearance isn't what it seems.

The moment Special Forces soldier Ethan Garrett laid eyes on Darcy, he knew she was the woman he would marry - and he did. But when their marriage fell apart, Ethan never really recovered. Now a highly paid bodyguard, Ethan quickly slips back into combat mode when he learns of Darcy's disappearance and calls in old favors to assemble a rogue rescue team.

Tracking Darcy all the way to the jungles of the Philippines, Ethan knows every move he makes could mean the difference between life and death. His love for Darcy burns stronger than ever. But when he learns the true reason for her abduction, it may be too late to save her - or himself.

While This book deal a bit with ptsd suffered by returning soldiers, it’s handled with a very light hand. The bulk of the story is about the action of the book, which is well done

A good time

This is the first review I’ve ever written because it bothered me that much. I’ve loved this series so far, but this book, or the delivery of it was terrible. So many times we were suddenly in a different character and there was absolutely no transition. It was so frustrating. Otherwise, this was still a good book.

Great story, but I got lost so many times

So far this is my favorite of the body guard seris the body guard series but the heroine did some really stupid stuff in this book that's book that was what got on my nerves however I absolutely adore the Garrett family and I am on to the next book I am however disappointed to see that she has now changed the narrator I feel like so far he has been one of the best parts of these audiobooks

Is amazing narrator great book

This is the best book in the series thus far. I really enjoy the narration and the story. I know that everyone looks for something different in a book but it drives me crazy when a man says I ought to bend you over my knee and spank you for acting that way; I'm not a child don't treat me like I am. That is my only negative comment about this story.

Best one so far
