Amazing

I've listened play Audible books Best Buy fire was the best one I have listened to the actors did such a great job and portrayed both of the characters so well. I can't wait to listen to the next book this book definitely draws you in as soon as you start to listen . Father did a great job at really drawing in her listeners I would definitely recommend this book to any of my friends

Very sexually romantic

Yes, this is a romance, but not in the traditional sense. Almost the entire book centers around the world of bdsm and their roles as submissive and dominant. Eventually, the lines between sub/dom and their relationship outside of the bdsm world begun to blur. There is never any major romantic features or swoon worthy moments like a tradition romance novel, but it does result in an HEA. Probably not worth reading if you don't have at least a little interest or curiosity in bdsm. The bdsm is only light for the most part outside of a little rough sex. The narrators did a pretty good job.

My Two Pennies

This was an enjoyable read with a bit of BDSM play involved. Lucian is a full fledged Dom, he just hasn’t partaken in the club for a while. Dahlia has a past that now controls for current sexual desires and when her friend invites her to a club that can also help her financially there’s no way she can turn down the opportunity. The flow of the story was consist and I felt the characters connection to each other, the only setback for me was that I felt the ending was a bit rushed. Overall it’s a great read and wasn’t wrapped around the club scene the whole time which I thought was better because see both Dahlia and Lucian in there own light.

So much more than I was expecting

The narration by this pair was absolutely beautiful! Each brought a depth of character that I was not expecting. Loved them separately, loved them together!

This book was so much more than I what I was expecting! I thought it would be just a hot and steamy read but it goes so much further than that. Dahlia has a painful history that can’t be ignored. Lucien as her dom recognizes there is something wrong and refuses to let it set the pace in their relationship. As a result this story delves into how this couple grow together as they work out the emotional damage that has been inflicted and rooted into Dahlia’s psyche. I loved the care and attention Lucien gave to her and her ability to finally come in from out of the darkness.

I am not going to tell you how many copies of this book I owned before I ever read it. Since seeing Willow Winters talk about this series I have wanted to read it. I am so happy I finally did. Lucian and Dahlia didn’t disappoint at all. Dahlia is hurting for money since she is working an internship and going to school. Lucian is powerful wealthily man that has been burned by a ex before. The club and auction set the stage for the whole series, and I already want to read the next one.
