Gina MacDonald may be pregnant and on the run, but she will do anything to protect her unborn child - even go up against a dragon-shifter. While hiding in the wilds of the Scottish Highlands, she soon notices the black dragon perched on the nearby hills. She debates if he is related to her past or not, but then a pain overcomes her and the dragon finally swoops down to help. Despite her determination to stay clear of all dragon-shifter males, his touch not only helps ease her tension, it sets her skin on fire.
Fergus MacKenzie protects his clan by collecting information and warning them of threats. When a redheaded American shows up out of the blue along a nearby lake, he watches her to find out more. However, when he sees her bend over in pain, he flies down to help her. Afterward, he should walk away. But he can't stop thinking about her green eyes and addictive touch. Both man and beast want her more than anything in their lives.
As Fergus learns more of Gina's past, he knows she will bring danger to his clan. Torn between protecting his family and following his heart, will Gina and Fergus be able to find a happy ending? Or will danger force Fergus to choose between love and clan?

I love all of Jessie Donovan's books.

We've been waiting for this one for sometime now and its finally here
Fergus!!!!!!
This book has an emotional punch!Be warned!!!!
I really loved the chemistry between Fergus and Gina and oh my god they were so funny those two!!!!
Jessie has a unique writing skills with Dragons!
I swear to god this Lady must have a couple sitting out of her front doorstep and she has a first row seat into their behaviour and culture.
Every single time she captivates us with the complex story lines.
She has outdone herself with this story and i can't wait for more to come!!! (After all who doesn't love a Scottish Dragon Shifter!).
Now add to all this the amazing Matthew Lloyd Davis and damn you have an amazing book.
It's not once but many times that I have said that I love his voice and with each book he just makes me love the series all the way from the start
I so loved it

This is a fun loving alpha read. It proves that love is in the eye of the beholder not it it's DNA. Fergus and his dragon want Gina as their mate and it doesn't matter that she is carrying another dragon man's baby. He will fight to make them part of his family and to keep them there.
Poor Gina has bet used by a dragon man and then toss aside. She finds out she is only one of several woman who have become pregnant by said dragon man due to nothing more then a bet. She gets to know Fergus, who has basically been stalking her, better when she begins to have pain in her stomach and he rush's to her rescue. She's not really sure what to make of him but she feels safe with him and they begin to build a real relationship.
I love that we get more and more dragon facts with each book and new characters as well as visit from other dragon clans. This book seemed a little differently written then Jessie's other dragon books but I still enjoyed it and highly recommend it.
I always enjoy listening to Matthew Lloyd Davies, his dragon voices are just awesome. He is so spot on with his alpha vs dragon commentary, even if they are Jessie's words that I can't help but laugh sometimes. His american accent on the other hand drove me crazy but it didn't take away from the enjoyment of listening to this book. I can't wait to find out what's next for the Lochguard clan.
Unconditional Love
