After a car accident killed her parents when she was a child, Bronagh Murphy chose to box herself off from people in an effort to keep herself from future hurt. If she doesn't befriend people, talk to them, or acknowledge them in any way, they leave her alone just like she wants.

When Dominic Slater enters her life, ignoring him is all she has to do to get his attention. Dominic is used to attention, and when he and his brothers move to Dublin, Ireland, for family business, he gets nothing but attention. Attention from everyone except the beautiful brunette with a sharp tongue.

Dominic wants Bronagh, and the only way he can get to her is by dragging her from the boxed off corner she has herself trapped in the only way he knows how...by force.

Dominic wants her, and what Dominic wants, Dominic gets.

too many curse words . would have been a good book if it weren't for that.

good story but language was terrible.

The narrator didn’t OK job especially with the accents however she never changed octaves can’t really tell if it was the woman talking or the man talking except for the accent differentiate in between the two.

This was a unique romance because normally it’s the Irish Mafia or mobsters and the English heroin or damsel and it was switch where it was in American families tied up in an American mobster in an Irish heroin who had lived a pretty decent life except for the fact that her parents died. I really enjoyed this novel I’m excited to read the rest of this later novels in the series especially battle each brother after they’ve been introduced to this one.

The main character B she kind of went into her own world after her parents died and her sister took custody of her she’s a bit of a nerd. She is reclusive with a standoffish personality and doesn’t have any friends really at her school and doesn’t really associate with anybody outside of her sister.

Dominic Slater is a man who saw a woman who fight him tooth and nail to be friends and to be in a relationship. But he is a man who is used to getting what he wants. His stubborn and persistent personality is probably what makes a majority of him and how the relationship is able to manifest and bloom.
Family drama of course brings in the arc of the story allowing for an edge of your seat and biting your nails oh my goodness what’s going to happen moment and for everybody to have the realization of what they feel and how important each other are to their lives.

The narrator not good. I like she added the Irish accent but sometimes I had a hard time understanding. She sounded like a high schooler in her normal voice

Can’t listen to another

The book was actually pretty difficult for me to finish. I almost bailed midway but glad I finished it. The heroine really got on my nerves. She was way immature and reacted like a 5 year old who bites her playmates when she’s mad. That was the biggest hurdle for me. Next was the narration. I like the Irish accent but her male voice was terrible. It would have been way better with dual narration as she has trouble with male voices. I thought her female Irish accent sounded more masculine than her male American accent. That said the story line of the characters got me vested and I will be downloading the next book in the series.

Liked it but...

I loved the story and I really recommend reading it. But, the narrator didn’t even attempt to change her voice to a male tone. In essence the male lead sounded like a sassy 17 year old girl and it was cringe worthy at times. Her accent is awesome but I really couldn’t get into the story since the gruff male voice was that of a teenage girl.

Excellent story but difficult to listen to.
