On the surface, Kit Caldwell has it all. A senior in college with her future ahead of her, lots of friends, lots of parties - not to mention also having the eye of Tommy, the star quarterback of the football team. But underneath, Kit's life is a charade, built on a foundation of secrets and lies, including one so dark it threatens to tear her world apart: her twin sister, Cat, was kidnapped when they were both seven, never to be heard from again. That is, until one dark Halloween night. But is it really Cat? Or is it someone else, someone playing a sinister and deadly game? To save herself from imminent danger, Kit, with the help of Tommy and her friends, is forced to go back in time and confront her own personal demons, as she finally discovers what really happened to Cat all those years ago.

Love this author but the performance was embarrassingly poor

I had to force myself thru this one because of the reader. Even had some personal verbiage recorded. Need to stick with January Lavoy!!!

The storyline was really captivating. The narrator, not so much.

Loved the story, but that narrator was not that great. She pronounced words completely wrong, paused in awkard places & when she would finally show some type of emotion in her voice, she sounded like a "valley girl".

Decent Story - Performance Sorely Lacking

Overall, I did like the story, but it was a little drawn out & could have been shortened. HOWEVER, I did not like the narration. I would've appreciated more animation in her voice, but the major problem was the lack of editing. There were obvious errors & mispronunciations, plus an entire beginning-of-chapter piece of audio where the narrator was obviously talking to herself.

Great book!

First I want to say this was a good book I really enjoyed. When I first heard the narrator I thought I was listening to a librivox recording. But As I listened to the book she grew on me. I have read all the comments and all of them have bashed the narrator I don't care what they say I think she did a good job. If you don't like the narrator Read the book yourself.

I haven’t finished this yet and I like the story but I’ve been ready to quit many times and ready to scream at how many times I have been irritated by the incessant swallowing of the narrator. Sounds like drinking water arrrrgh
