Wonderful book on Chuck Noll

It was very well written and captured his personality and character and coaching style. Loved reading about the golden age of the Steelers being a Pittsburgh native.

A true story of leadership and character

Chuck Noll’s presence not only helped shape and define what the Pittsburgh Steeler organization represents to this day, but also made a positive impact on the many people whose lives he touched. This book goes beyond football, illustrating how Chuck Noll spent his entire life striving to be the best person he could be while also helping others realize their true potential for personal greatness. The narrator was excellent and the story was great. One of the best audible purchases I’ve made!

This is a story about the complete man, not just Chuck Noll and football. I can’t recommend this book enough.

Doesn’t get any.better. Keeps you interested from beginning to the end. Allows you to see inside the mind of the greatest coach ever.

One of my favorite Audible books!

Well written and well narrated. I loved listening to the book. It's more than a football or coach's book. I love coach autobiographies and leadership / culture books. This is a biography about a coach that also indirectly speaks of Noll's leadership / culture within the greater context of the man as a whole. It is a life story instead of a book on tactics or football. Any life or coaching principles in the book are left for the reader to discern for themselves within the context of the life story. While the Steelers were an important part of Noll's life - this is not a book solely about the Steelers. You can appreciate this book and Noll's life without being a football fan at all.

I knew very little of Noll, probably less than all of the other great coaches, other than he was a great coach. The author did an incredible job and I thank him for his efforts to introduce Chuck Noll to the world. It actually bothers me more people have not read this book. While different, this book is as good, if not better, than books on Bill Walsh or John Wooden or any other coach. While not necessarily a football book, it did make me hate the Raiders even more, which being a Broncos fan, I did not know was possible.
