In the small town of Black Bay, a vacant, forgotten house sits atop an overlooking bluff. When Bailey and Bodhi Taylor move in and begin renovations, the house seems perfect. But things move on their own, screams echo from the basement, and Bailey sees a shadowy figure out of the corner of her eye. Is the house haunted? And if it is, what does the ghost want with Bailey?

Bailey and Bodhi Taylor are house flippers, and Bailey is a blogger. They are both filled with wander lust and house flipping is perfect for them. They are never in a place to long to feel tied down. Their next project is in the tiny town of Black Bay. They find a beautiful almost mansion like home on the top of a bluff overlooking the sea at a great price and jump on it. Once there they find that the home is like a time capsule and has been untouched for 20 years, since the family that lived there died in a boating accident, or was it an accident.

Once the renovations start strange things start happening to Bailey. Afraid to tell Bodhi about the happenings she takes the abuse from the spirits and comes up with excuses, until Bodhi walks in on one of the occurrences in action. They learn that the ghosts in the house are the Children of the family and that the accident was no accident. Now it is up to Bailey and Bodhi to help the 2 teenagers find their killer and their bodies before it is too late and they are stuck in this realm forever.

The books starts out with a entry to Bailey's blog "Flipping Out" thought at first oh no this is not going to be good, but I gave it a chance and I am so glad I did. Within just a few minutes of starting this book i was carrying my phone around with me with this story playing. It is a 3 book Omnibus, thankfully all 3 books were included as when one book ends it starts immediately where the other left off. There is not only just a haunting but a great mystery. I was guessing most of the way through on not only who done it but also about the mystery of why Bailey and Bodhi were together but also estranged. The love story of this book is not really in depth but sweet. It does not take over the book at all, which I appreciated.

I will be looking for more books by Alexandria Clarke. I really enjoyed everything about these books, and Tia Rider Sorensen done an amazing job with the narration.

Excellent story and narration Have read and now with the audio added to the story the tension and character, well done. Bodhi and Bailey got more than a renovation when they were to renovate this haunted mansion.

My daughter and I enjoyed this pretty tame ghost story. I am not sure there were more than a handful of cuss words and there was not anything scary in the book. It was just a ghost story, closer to a YA series than what I would normally take on... But it was something I could tackle with my kid so it was worth it.
