I enjoyed this far more than I thought I would. Definitely one of the stronger books in the series, even though I am not much of a Mechanicum fan. Correction, I wasn't much of a Mechanicum fan.

Great book from start to finish. This book does a great job detailing life on mars and how this race of humans separates themselves from Terra. Also if you love knight battles it is a must read!

definitely one of the slower books in the horus heresy but still solid. the monotone voices you would expect from an adapt can get tiring to listen too lol
