Lucas Davenport confronts an old nemesis, now a powerful U.S. senator, in this thrilling #1 New York Times-bestselling new novel in the Prey series.

Lucas Davenport had crossed paths with her before.

A rich psychopath, Taryn Grant had run successfully for the U.S. Senate, where Lucas had predicted she'd fit right in. He was also convinced that she'd been responsible for three murders, though he'd never been able to prove it. Once a psychopath had gotten that kind of rush, though, he or she often needed another fix, so he figured he might be seeing her again.

He was right. A federal marshal now, with a very wide scope of investigation, he's heard rumors that Grant has found her seat on the Senate intelligence committee, and the contacts she's made from it, to be very...useful. Pinning those rumors down was likely to be just as difficult as before, and considerably more dangerous.

But they had unfinished business, he and Grant. One way or the other, he was going to see it through to the end.

John Sandford & Michael Connelly are two of the VERY best working crime writers. If you like Patterson and haven't read either of these guys, I pity you. Patterson's a sell-suffered pretender who's peddling his name rather than talent. Don't believe it? Start with either Sandford's Luicas Davenport or Connelly's Harry Bosch... and start at the beginning of each series... careful though you'll begin a series addiction. But with highs that you'll relish.

Twisted Prey doesn't disappoint. It's devilish twists are as beautifully done as anything in this genre. ANYTHING! And Richard Ferrone IS Davenport's voice. The marriage of Ferrone and Sandford is better than most couples can hope to achieve. It's good to have something in my life that never lets me down... And Sandford & Connelly are always on that target.

Sandford & Davenport... 'Nuff Said!"

This series is an automatic order for me. John Sandford brings another great Lucas Davenport book to us. I must admit, I enjoyed the earlier books better when the stories had a bit of romance in them. But he needed a family. Lucas being in a different place from them is a plus, IMO. This story had plenty of intrigue and some likeable characters, of course starting with his two Marshal sidekicks. I enjoy the banter between them. And Richard Ferrone is the voice of the Lucas books. Take good care of yourselves, John and Richard!

I love Lucas!

great book in the series. helps finish up some remaining strings from previous books. feels like his character goes back to how he's sometime had to do things out of character from what you would expect him to do. this makes it seem more real world.

great

Loved the book. Sandford rarely disappoints. Ferrone is magnificent. Perfect voice for the Davenport novels. Wish he did the Reacher books.

satisfying listen.

This bookis a hit! As someone who has read the whole Lucas Davenport series, (not to mention countless other series) Sanford is always able to surprise me on a range from subtle to HOLY COW. Even stories that seem to follow a rather typical outline of detective hunting criminal, he can still throw little twists in there that make me say oh wow out loud at the end. You Sandford fans know what I am talking about! Loved it

Fantastic addition to the series
