Everybody Loves Large Chests was first brought to Jeff Hays on Soundbooth Theater Live, his live streaming narration show. Since then, it has been the most consistently requested and enjoyed title by fans. Great idea with often too much sexualization

I personally enjoyed the book, but at many points, I felt like the author was more sexually repressed teenager and less D&D/LitRPG fan with a great idea. There were several parts of the book that were very highly sexualized for no reason other than the author's own gratification. Once you get past all of that, however, you find a great idea of a book that is largely well written. The idea that you read a book from a dungeon monster's perspective and find all the random ways that it got insanely lucky and progresses both mentally and physically.

If you can get past the borderline erotica, and you are a D&D fan or a LitRPG fan, then you will love this book. I am genuinely intrigued and excited to read the next book.

Love this series!

Well written with some of the most memorable characters I can think of. As a narrator, Jeff Hays knocks this out out of the park. This is easily one of my favorite discoveries on Audible.

My Opinion

Strangely entertaining and left me wanting more from something I honestly didn't expect much from.

A light dark-comedy

This is a dark comedy about a mimic creature shaped as a treasure chest, its luck, and the stupidity of those it interacts with. I enjoyed the story. This is a LitRPG and the story gives stats at the end of most chapters.

Is it tasty? Yes, yes it is.

I was extremely reluctant to purchase this book because of the cover but, as our English teachers used to tell us, never judge a book by its cover. The ratings for this do it justice and it is a worthwhile purchase if you enjoy fantasy literature and role play games. Some of the references might be lost on those who have not played RPGs but I think they could still find the humor and excitement in reading it. Neven Iliev has constructed a world that I want to play a character in.

If you are still hesitant to dive into this book, don't be. It is worth the price and you will likely find yourself doing the same as I and purchasing the second book halfway through. It is going to be a painful eight months waiting for Neven to finish the third book in the series but I will assuredly be pre-ordering it!

A hilarious story with an ingenious premise.

Loved the idea and the story; starts off about 5% pervy then graduates to about 10%...

a great new addition to the RPG-style book series. the story is funny, graphic, and moves along well. first time hearing a book with this narrator and he does an amazing job. looking forward to book 2.

Dirty and great

I was surprised by how quickly this book turns naughty and was a little worried (and not at all hopeful). That the book might force a lot of such situations. Honestly I don’t feel it over did it at all. This book was good fun and changes things up. I intentionally wanted something like this after finishing “The Divine Dungeon series”.

There's smart, thought provoking, imagination tantalizing ideas and concepts. And also boobs, and a surprising amount of risqué content, all woven together expertly by the author in a perfectly meshing mix of humor, lewdness, and intelligent writing that is so rare in literature. If you are a fan of the LitRPG genre then definitely give this book a listen, you won't regret it.
