Tillie Winchester's past is about to come back to haunt her, and what she sees as fun and games someone else sees as a recipe for murder. When a local woman is poisoned at Hemlock Cove's senior center, Aunt Tillie is the prime suspect. Bay, Thistle and Clove don't believe their great-aunt is guilty - although Thistle is fine if the police want to haul her away for a long weekend.

Everyone in town is suspicious, but things spiral out of control when FBI Agent Landon Michaels' boss believes he can't be objective where his girlfriend's family is concerned and sends another agent to lead the investigation.

The new agent is gung-ho, headstrong, and making witchy enemies at every turn. When the investigation turns to the past instead of the present, Aunt Tillie refuses to talk and a long held Hemlock Cove secret risks being exposed. Bodies start piling up as old grudges overlap with new clues and the Winchesters are caught in the crossfire.

Bay is determined to clear her great-aunt's name but even she has her doubts when the victim's ghost points a finger ...directly at Aunt Tillie. It's all hands on deck for an explosive showdown that proves some secrets are best left buried. Bay just hopes she won't end up buried, too.

I always enjoy each new installment. Amanda M. Lee has a brilliant mind and always comes up with new ideas for her quirky characters. Hollis McCarthy, as usual, brings it all to life. If you like paranormal mysteries, you enjoy this series.

This must have had a different narrator than all of the others was totally thrown by the childlike voice for an adult. They made all the characters way to rediculous this time. Felt like a different author as it extremely changed the characters personalities. Won't listen to the next one if it is the same.

Child like voice for an adult - Creepy

the narrator was not good at all. I wish that the original narrator would do these books.

The performer was so poor it made listening to the book almost unbearable.. The story saved this selection from an even lower score from me.
The story fills in a lot of blanks. It also is a good set up for future stories. If you are purchasing this book for a kid who does not depend on story continuity, skip this one.

Sorry for the low score.

I don’t know why they changed narrators for the last couple of books but this one is absolutely awful. She has completely changed the characters personalities by the way she is presenting them. Thistle sounds like an unintelligent Yogi Bear. It took 80% of the book before I started to adjust and somewhat tolerate listening. ...just awful!

Horrible narration with new narrator
