The long-awaited second book of the fourth story arc – Sword of the Canon – in the epic fantasy series, the Wars of Light and Shadow.

Lysaer’s unstable integrity lies under threat of total downfall, and as his determined protector, Daliana will face the most frightening decision of her young life.

Arithon, Master of Shadow, is marked for death and still hunted, when his critical quest to recover his obscured past entangles him in a web of deep intrigue and ancient perils beyond his imagining.

Elaira’s urgent pursuit of the Biedar Tribes’ secret embroils her in the terrible directive of the Fellowship Sorcerers, while Dakar — the Mad Prophet — confronts the hard reckoning for the colossal mistake of his misspent past, and Tarens is steered by a destiny far from his crofter’s origins.

The penultimate volume of The Wars of Light and Shadow will touch the grand depths of Athera’s endowment, and deliver the thrilling finale of arc IV, the Sword of the Canon.

War, blood, magic, mystery – and the most hidden powers of all – will stand or fall on their hour of unveiling.

I’ve enjoyed this series for years and devoured this book as soon as it was released. I waited for the audio version and savored it like a delicious feast like Babette’s! It is totally awesome, Colin Maces narration and perfect! I only hope enough interest is shown to foster the production of the rest of the series.

So excited to see this!

An epic story and an amazing narration. The story weaving Janny Wurts does is absolutely amazing. I can't wait for the final novel in the series, and NEED the rest of the series on audible with the same narrator.

Epic story telling

This latest arc from Janny Wurts ties the loose ends for the faithful followers of the Wars of Light & Shadow. Weaving together many dangling plot lines left to speculative intrigue in the two prior volumes, Stormed Fortress, & Initiates Trial, the reader is delightfully treated to several astonishing revelations and unpredictable plot twists.
This current volume is also the first available as an audiobook. It is admirably narrated and I look forward to more high quality narration of the entire work.
If you are a Science Fantasy enthusiast new to this work I highly recommend Curse of the Mistwraith & welcome you on an exquisite literary journey.

Worth the wait~

Amazing and ferocious epic, harrowing emotion partnering transcendence. Actions villainous and actions inspiring, peopled by rich characters who defy fiction with their impact.

Magic

It's such a long series spanning many years, both in the story and in real time that it can be slightly repetitive in a few ways, however the characters and the setting is SO good, her nuances of emotion and inner strength, the attachments between people and the magic of the world is unparalleled in fantasy.

I love this series
