God help you merry gentlemen....
Arriving home early after spending Christmas in jolly old England, amateur sleuth Adrien English discovers alarming developments at Cloak and Dagger Books - and an old acquaintance seeking help in finding a missing boyfriend.
Fortunately, Adrien just happens to know a really good private eye.

But this narrator ruined the books for me.
it's hard not to compare with Chris Patton because he nailed it. I miss my old Jake.
Love the ending, but narrators need work

The audio? Not so much. I think I hadn't bought it because I'd heard so so reviews of it originally, but I just re-listened to the entire original series and jumped on the wagon. While I understand that the original narrator, who is wonderful, couldn't do this book, this narrator should have made an effort to see how the characters were handled.
Also, maybe don't make every female character a caricature. I wanted to stop him ever narrating anything again with the way he read Natalie. That was pure freaking awful. But he did well with Jake and Adrien and, thankfully they were ninety-five percent of the book.
Needs work, women aren't caricatures
