nice shifter story

I love Ilias he is so sweet and sensitive character a boy dradon a loved one .. his story was very sweet can't wait for the other brothers to find their mates

I absolutely love paranormal books and this one did not disappoint. I great short listen a d an awesome narrator!!

Great INCLUSIVE paranormal adventure & romance

Excellent story in a great series of mixed breed species being hunted by snobby full bloods.. I appreciate that the females mate seemed to have flaws/scars or trauma of some type.. No one is perfect BUT, the story is exciting and worth the credit/money..It is so awesome to read/listen to a well written story that DOESN'T have some young anglo female being seduced or saved by a older male.. All the characters seem(around same age) and seem to have "problems " & issues...Thank you author for this expression of your imagination that allows the buyer/reader/listener to escape and feel INCLUDED. Narration by voice actor was good.. Definite BUY!!!

Andrea and Ilias

Before I start my review I have to say that this is the second book of a series and I have not read or listened to book one. That said I did not find it hard to pick up the gist of this book and become immersed in the story.

Ilias is the youngest member of a group of dragons, he's no more than a thin sickly boy, but things are about to change in a big way. Where this story differs from the usual dragon shifter stories is that each of the dragons are male, they are also halflings having one human parent. They also have two dragons inside them, one being their own and the other being for their human mate, once she is found and agrees to the mating the second dragon will enter her and she will then become a dragon.

Andrea is human, she has a drug problem and has been forced to quit college because of it. She returns home but fails to get help and is still taking drugs. Whilst under the influence of drugs she hits Ilias with her car and drives away. That incident is when Ilias realises that Andrea is his mate and he now has to start to try to heal her and win her over, whilst thrown into the mix is a dragon who is there to eradicate all halflings.

The story moves quickly and was easy to listen to the voice of the narrator Connor Brown is very easy on the ear and he gives a great performance.

This review is my own personal opinion and is written voluntarily.

Love the idea of this series-execution not so much

Ilias is Book 2 of the Stratham Shifters series by Sarah Stone. I have to say that I really liked the idea of this series and had high hopes for it. Unfortunately, the execution wasn't as gripping as I had hoped. Ilias finds his mate in Andrea. Andrea, unfortunately, is a junkie. As Ilias gets closer to his mate, he goes through super quick puberty and they get more in tune. Andrea gets kidnapped and has some other family issues as well. Do Ilias and Andrea find happiness together or are they destined to fail? Well, without giving away any spoilers, I won't say anymore, though I'm sure you can guess the outcome. I didn't like Andrea and the Ilias part of the story just felt rushed. I think with a more solid female lead the story would have been improved, though I'm not sure by how much. This isn't a series that I will be continuing, though I'm sure others will absolutely love it. Note that I did not read Book One, and from reading the reviews already posted, it sounds like reading Book One before this book is advised, as the story carries on form book to book.

Connor Brown's narration was fine and I didn't have any issues with his delivery. I'd listen to more of his narration in the future. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

Short but not sweet

Ilias is a half dragon hybrid who by complete luck meets his soul mate in a very peculiar way. Mating for the two doesn’t happen very smoothly, both face their own demons while trying to come to terms with their new reality. I’ve enjoyed several of Sarah J Stone’s Books before but had a hard time connecting with the underlying drug issue and therefore with the lead female character The narrator did a great job with providing individual voices for each character. A nice follow up!

I was a little disappointed by the first entry in this series since it didn't have time to set the story very much. With this second entry, we get more information about dragons shifters.

I am not sure I liked Andrea but at least she felt a bit more realistic than Sophie did.

All in all, I am still left with not enough. I would have loved the books to be a little longer.
I will definitely go for the next entries if they make them in audiobook.

Connor Brown is fine as a narrator. I like his voices but he goes a little fast at times. Easily fixed by putting the book at .75 speed.
