About this listen
After five years on the police force, a bullet in the kiester from a vengeful gangbanger convinces Walt that it’s time to turn in his badge.
Walt realizes once again that retirement just isn’t his cup of tea and, with a little urging from his brother-in-law, decides to become a private investigator.
For five years he had served the Lady Justice wearing a white robe and a blindfold and followed the rules, but he soon discovered that the P.I. business was leading him across the line into the dark side and a completely different set of rules.
When Walt comes face-to-face with the Lady Justice on the dark side, dressed in a tight skirt, fishnet stockings, and high heels, he is faced with decisions that will change the course of his life.

An Irish mobster. A missing friend. Two loyalties, ripping me apart. I had a plan. Get in, get my information, and get out. Easy, right? Turns out, infiltrating the Irish mafia isn't exactly what I thought it would be. I just wanted a soldier. Someone I could flirt with to get me in the door. That's when Lachlan Crow noticed me. Problem was, he wasn't a soldier. No, he was next in line for the throne of the Irish underworld. And he was determined to hate me from the outset.

It was inescapably chilling, as if the murderer was methodically working his way down a page torn from the phone book. The three victims brutally killed in their own homes had one thing in common: They were all listed as M. Douglas. The fact that Mara Douglas is next on the list has her jumping at shadows, until FBI agent Aidan Shields shows up to make sure she doesn't become the fourth victim.

Story
A mind-bending, genre-twisting debut novel. In West Akron, there lived a reclusive elderly man who always wore mittens, even in July. He had no friends and no family; all over town, he was known only as The the Man from Primrose Lane. And on a summer day in 2008, someone murdered him.

I didn't see that coming!
Another thought-provoking subject! How would we react?
I can see Robert Thornhill has created a venue so that he can approach many different subjects in future audiobooks. I can hardly wait to see where they lead!
George Kuch brings his characters to life like old friends.

Lady Justice on the Dark Side
Definitely a twist on this one from the previous. I really do enjoy this crew and seeing a different point of view when reading. In this one you have lady Justice and her “sister” so we see the other side of things. I loved this book and will continue to listen to more.

On the Dark Side...
After five years on the force Walt is placed in a position of needing to decide... is it worth it?
Robert Thornhill once again shows us that sometimes things are not always black or white... there’s a big gray area. I’m really enjoying how this series continues to grow and morph.
Always entertaining to hear George Kuch give voice to Walt and the crew.

Walt is on a new adventure
Oh my! A hurricane what! As always Robert Thornhill has caught my attention and kept me entertained. I find when I read one of Roberts books I learn more about what ever topic he has chosen for the story line. In this book I got a first hand look at what a hurricane can be like. Well done again Robert. Also George Kuch does the most amazing job of narrating this series. He is the true voice of Walt Williams. Not to give anything away but the ending of this book leaves the reader wondering where this story will go next in Walt's life

Shady Lady!
Robert Thornhill continues to amaze me with his writing! I wish I was more eloquent in my review, and could do his book justice it deserves. Lady Justice on the Dark Side is one of the most thought provoking listens that I have heard. Having lived in the midwest for 45+ years, I found the imagery to be spot on. The battle Walt had with Lady Justice and her sister was tremendous with the speculation and inner turmoil. Both the white side and black side are two sides of the same coin. I thought this book did a wonderful job bringing to light many current issues as black lives matter, blue lives matter, and the need for family and friends. Like other books in this series, there is some wonderful humor with laugh out loud moments. George Kuch does such a wonderful performance with his various characters and their voices. I loved how Walt is able to keep his integrity in his new endeavor, his friendship with Ox is just as close and humorous, and the multiple stories happening within the book. I loved how everything was woven together without being obvious. The lyrics from songs and verses from the bible also fit perfect into this book. This is a standalone listen and continues part of the storyline from Lady Justice and the Eye of the Storm. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. This book had some twists in it that I never saw coming. I cannot wait for the next adventure or case that Walt tackles.

Another great listen
It is always a pleasure to listen to Mr. Thornhill’s books, it is so much fun to see what Walt and his friends get into. Mr. Thornhill knows how to deliver a highly entertaining story filled with near death, humor, danger, a touch of clean romance, there are always moments that you hold your breath, others where you heart skips a beat, I love the humor that fills the book but he gets right down to the heart of the matter, there are times I say oh my and other times where I laugh out loud and everyone in my office thinks I have lost it. No matter what the topic is it is always thrilling, exciting, adventurous. I am always left with a smile on my face and can’t wait to start the next one. You are never lost you always know a touch of what happens in the previous stories, so it doesn’t matter how you read them you always know who is what and what is going on. I highly recommend starting with book one and go from there. I promise you will be entertained
The narrator is truly amazing with his true emotions, his wonderful character voices, he really brings the characters to life, you always know who is talking and what they are feeling. His male voices are just as good as his female ones. There is no background noise, no volume changes, it is a very clear and clean audio. If any breaks were taken I could not tell. He knows how to bring the story to life making you see it in your mind, making you laugh with his dry humor that is right on the money. Walt is so easy to picture him rolling his eyes at the new things they want him to to. This narrator is fast becoming one of my favorites, he has a voice that is strong, but he is able to really touch on the emotional things to make you feel the effect the author wants you to feel.
This is a story that is really for anyone, it is truly entertaining, and will keep you on your toes. I just love this author and narrator.

What goes around.....
law-enforcement, private-investigators, surprises, humor -------
What goes around comes around, whether good or bad, justified or misguided. Walt retired from real estate at 65 and from the force at 70. Now he is second guessing his actions in a whole new way by becoming a private investigator. And he still has a big target on his back from a man who blames him for another's death. Sad to say, but this one is right out of current events yet very well done. And the situational and verbal humor continue to abound!
George Kuch continues to provide the sensitive voice of the characters.

White verses Dark
I absolutely love this series as they are very thought provoking subjects while being somewhat humorous. I love the characters of Walt, Ox, Kevin and his extended family. In this book it continues from the upheaval in Lady Justice in the Eye of the Storm where people want vengeance by killing cops and their family. Walt has enough after getting shot so retires from Lady Justice (white robe and blindfolded) and joins with his brother in law Kevin to Lady Justice on the dark side for PIs (dressed in a tight skirt, fishnet stockings, and high heels) ( I’m not sure if Walt can continue on the dark side with good conscious). Great narration as usual. This book was given to me by author and I provided this voluntary review. Keep them coming!! THANK YOU!!

This series just keeps getting better!
The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. There was so much action packed into this book. Walt stares death in the face more than once, struggles with moral dilemmas, and comes out the other side with a new attitude and a few long-lost relatives to boot. Do yourself a favor and get this book. You won't regret it!

I love Walt Williams PI
This story is just as good if not better than Walt being a cop. Walt wrestles with his conscious about having to do things not by the book since he is not bound to the same laws/procedures he was as a cop. Didn’t particularly care about Walt gaining a step sister. Kinda stretches reality a bit with this “coincendence” I feel. I look forward to more adventures with all the gang in the next phase of Walt’s new life after retirement. I voluntarily give this review in exchange for receiving this book free of charge.
