Publisher's summary

Owen Crawford is the ultimate playboy - wealthy, handsome, and charismatic. Yet, things are far from perfect. The successful club owner lives with the constant reminder of his dark past. Struggling to accept who he has become, he pushes everyone away by deflecting relationships that would be more than a one-night stand.

And then, there is Emily....

The naive second year psychology student, who is in a troubling relationship, becomes intrigued by Owen and feels an overwhelming desire to "fix him". As she gets closer to Owen, she discovers family secrets and lies that pull her deeper and deeper into his world.

Will Emily succeed in helping Owen, or will she become his next conquest?

Nice surprise.

I went into this story thinking it might not be something I usually read or liked and was pleasantly surprised that I did enjoy it. A bit like something you might see in a CW series, but that’s not a bad thing if you like new adult supernatural dramas. I’m hoping for another book from Danielle that goes more in depth about the dark magic side of the story and maybe gives Justin a happier chance at romance. ☺️

Emily and Owen

This one will be a tough review for me. First, this was really a good book and I stayed up way to early in the AM hours to finish it. This being said I will advise hoping its not a spoiler, if a book where the hero sleeps with someone after the main people meet, this one is not for you. I have never had issues with that prior but this one actually bothered me after the amount of times and such. It wasn't cheating as they were not in a relationship but I know I have seen reviews of people it is a trigger and thought I would say. With that being said, this story was different and sucked me in. I do love how it all ended up which makes it a great book for me. The narrators did a fantastic job.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Bad boy learns the meaning of love...

Would you listen to The Right Kind of Wrong again? Why?

No, but that's only because I typically only listen to audiobooks once.

What other book might you compare The Right Kind of Wrong to and why?

Not sure.

Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed the scene when Owen and Emily went to the fair.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not in particular. I did enjoy seeing Owen change throughout the story.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the book and the story. I wasn't a fan of the voice of Owen but I still enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.

Eh

I don’t know. I did get into the story early because it seemed different, but maybe it just isn’t my type of book because I got bored at the end and just wanted it to be finished. I would have stopped before the end, but I really wanted to be there when they finally got together. I think I’m just used to the romance being the center of the story and this one just got bogged down in all the details and it wasn’t that compelling. Plus, the black magic was a silly concept to me.

just a hint of magic

This was a very pleasant quick listen. Just enough romance, drama, and magic to keep things going without becoming too much. The ending is happy, and gives hope for the characters future, and doesn't leave too many unanswered feelings.
