Excellent! Blackburn's final argument was absolutely outstanding. The reader is left with haunting memories of the victims' precious, short lives and their horrid demise at the hands of their most trusted protector.

A MUST READ

I went into this book not knowing much about it. I was born 10 years after the murders occurred and actually found out about the case through a recent podcast Morally Indefensible. But Lord. I definitely made my mind up a few chapters into this. In my opinion Jeff MacDonald is guilty as sin. Yes, the Army and local PD screwed up. Yes his in-laws seemed to be rather flawed. But my God. Dr. MacDonald is such a narcissistic. I get that narcissistic behavior does not make you a murderer. There are plenty of narcissistics out there who have never physically harmed anyone. But it certainly offers a perspective of how someone could do the unthinkable and be convinced he’s not wrong. As George Costanza says “It’s not a lie if you believe it.”

Fascinating read (or listen)
