Vietnam Saga is a very personal story of Stan Corvin's often perilous times in the US Army as a two-tour combat helicopter pilot in Vietnam. It is a true-life story of soldiers who fought for freedom and often for their very lives.

Vietnam Saga is also a story about the meaning of life. Standing back from his war experience, Stan reflects on his ever-present faith and how it carried him through this challenging period of his life.

Originally written as a legacy to Stan Corvin's family - something that will be passed down for many generations - Vietnam Saga is now an opportunity for you to share in this legacy and the personal recollections, memories, thoughts, fears, and shed tears of a decorated and dedicated American soldier.

I have listened to my fair share of novels, biographies, and compilations of war novels. By that I mean close to a hundred on Audible alone. Mr. Corvin's book is by far one of the best, most exciting, and enthralling accounts I have ever had the pleasure to read.

He was a Loach pilot, a gunship pilot, and his harrowing retelling of all that he experienced while serving in the US Army is, in my opinion, one of the rawest, truest, and no-bullshit accounts of the Vietnam war. Far from being a self-loathing, hyper-critical veteran, Mr. Corvin was and is a warfighter in the truest sense of that word. He did his duty, bar-none, every time.

This book is a page-turner and story after story surprises the reader as it takes them up to the very last days of combat operations in the war and beyond. Stan was one of the last 600 Americans fighting and flying for the CIA eventually in country and it amazed me how much went on in Vietnam after the great battles and operations of the 60s.

Eerie and electric come to mind, as I wished the story went on for hours longer. I am, however, grateful that his Saga did come to an end in Vietnam and he lived (barely) to tell his story. Do not pass this book up.

One of the best Vietnam novels. A classic!
