Sinister Snickerdoodles

Having listened to a couple of the previous books in this series but not the entire series I did feel like I was missing something in this one. Maura is new to town and is drawn to the old bakery (this is where I felt lost, I missed the book where the bakery closed). Of course if its your first book you will never miss that. She quickly makes new friends that are so welcoming. And the property manager, aka her new love interest, seems to be a really good man. I love that Maura is willing to do whatever it takes to clear his name. And the lead investigator seem like a real jerk. I'm sure their is more to that story. I love that I did not see the murderer a mile away! Really nice job on the narration. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Tasty cozy!

This was a great little cozy mystery, with cake. Maura is out traveling to remake herself and her life after an unhappy marriage and untimely death of her late husband. Planning on just visiting, she stops in Danger Cove and ends up discovering the life she was searching for may be there, add friendship and murder plus snacks and it makes for a fun listen. The narration was fabulous. Looking forward to more in the series! I received a free review copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This book was such fun, the characters are fantastic, such a great cast of people and the town sounds wonderful, makes me want to move there myself.

The mystery was really well done, I had no idea who the bad guy was until the end.

The romance was very sweet, slow to build, it created a great foundation.

I haven't read any of the other books in this series but I definitely want to now, they'll be going on my wish list.

The narration was well done, the tone of the story came through really well and the character voices were distinct and recognizable.

Sinister Snickerdoodles

Maura is traveling around trying to rediscover herself after the unexpected death of her husband. She ends up in Danger Cove, where she begins to feel she may have found where she’s supposed to be. It may have been fate to find that the recently closed bakery is for sale. While she contemplates what she wants to do (research owning a bakery, finding temporary housing, check out the area, etc) she is pulled into a local mystery.

Sinister Snickerdoodles is a cute cozy mystery with great characters. Angie Hickman is the perfect narrator!

Female Bakery Mysteries.

What did you love best about Sinister Snickerdoodles?

Any story that revolves around a new Bakery is fun and if it includes recipes.......well then
you have the makings of a beautiful relationship.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Not on the edge but it is a enjoyable mystery that most people will have fun with.
