**Listen to the book and watch the original TV series, now streaming on Peacock!**

Join the legion of fans who skyrocketed this six-book series to the top of the charts. Start here, with the first book that kicked off the international #1 bestselling Vampire Academy series.

Love and loyalty run deeper than blood. St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger. . . .

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

I got used to the voices!

I got used to the voices and accent. I have also read this book before, I might have haded it if I didn’t already have what I think they should sound like in my head. Love this series!

The story was great but it's even better in audio!

Rose is a young guardian trying desperately to protect her best friend Lissa against a world that seems like it is out to get the young princess Lissa.

Their adventures, misadventures and teen drama take a back seat when Rose sets her sites on being the best guardian she can be, not just for Lissa & herself but also for her hotter than heck mentor Dimitri. He is the best of the best and she has a lot to learn.

It was great to get back to this world of vampires, vampire protectors, and evil vampires. I always enjoyed these books. I was sorry that the movie didn't do it justice and am happy that they are releasing a series for it on Peacock so I wanted a refresher. I am so glad I did. It was just as exciting as I remembered and the audiobook was fantastic!

Richelle Mead is a goddess

I have read this series quite a few times, though this is my first time by audio. I love Rose’s character growth and how Lisa overcomes her instabilities. I love how the author built their world and lays out their story for the reader. Beautiful, just beautiful. And I read some other reviews and I found the narrator was fairly good despite what they said.

Kick ass story!!

I have read this book dozens of times. It’s on my top 10 favorite list. Equal parts action and love makes it an exciting page turner. This time around I listened to it so I could work while enjoying the story. The reader was fantastic, aside from making poor Eddie sound a little odd. Lol he doesn’t have a big part in this book. But the next….🤔 it might bother me. I guess we’ll find out.

Book yes - audiobook maybe not?

I freaking love this series! I first read it in high school and I still love it. The audiobook is not my favorite but already liking the book helps to accept it lol still recommend the book & series though!

Great story, terrible narrator

I read this series back when I was younger probably 10 years ago and though I find some of the dialogue cringey and dated now I still love the story overall and look forward to the rest in the series. Now the narrator oh gosh the regular voice she does is fine, but the voices when she’s reading different characters is AWFUL. It sounds like the Rugrats talking and it drives me nuts. This is the only series I’m hoping they change the voice actor on. If you can get past the voices tho it’s overall a good listen
