In this third installment of the Amazon Top 10 best-selling EMP: Equipping Modern Patriots series, Jonathan Hollerman chronicles the survivors as they endeavor to pick up the pieces and start over in the ashes of a world destroyed by a nationwide, long-term grid-down scenario.

After the devastating battle at the East Homestead, Sean’s family regroups and makes some new alliances; however, with those growing bonds, new risks arise. Colonel Harris struggles to feed the 31st Regiment while attempting to offer assistance to the locals and contemplates risking his own life for the future of his country. A stranger arrives in Tionesta with unknown aspirations, and an ominous looting force the size of a small army entrenches nearby. Despite the emerging prospects for a new beginning, a shadow looms over the fresh buds of optimism.

It is obvious that the author has a great deal of knowledge about the subject but with the exception of the information concerning bunkers and modern off-the-shelf preparation food sources and commercial items that are shamelessly plugged through the book much of the tactical information is a bit dated especially where concerned with some of the medical procedures but even with that I find this series of books fun to listen to while pumping out endless rounds at the reloading bench or sharpening knives or preparing a kit I love the attention that he gives the local communities and the development of many of his characters although sometimes it can be a little shallow end overly simplified with good versus evilAnd miss trust of the government which probably isn’t a bad thing

Layman pulp fiction but entertaining

I just like this series. Not to complicated. It's easy to listen to at work with my ear plugs in. Makes the days go by so much faster.

A great read while I wait for the real thing

Hopefully the saga of Shaun and Maria and their friends and family has only just begun. Well done and factual work from Jonathan Hollerman. This has been a great series to listen too. Bring the series on...Thanks!
