When his body is hideously damaged in an enemy attack, it looks as though Inquisitor Gideon Ravenor's promising career would be abruptly brought short. Now, encased in a life support sytem that keeps him alive but forever cuts him off from the physical world, Ravenor utilises his formidable mental powers to continue his investigations. Along with his retinue of warriors and assassins, Gideon Ravenor fights to protect an Imperium he can no longer see, hear or feel.

I haven't seen any other reviews say they enjoyed Ravenor more than Eisenhorn mainly due to the fact that Ravenor is inherently monotonous being an electric tomb/chair. Ive tried reading it and listening to it and it just doesn't hit the same as Eisenhorn. That being said, it still is a fun story. I do wish they were able to get some female voice actors for the female characters.

It's alright.

If you enjoyed eisenhorn and are unsure if you will like this, I think you will love it. There are some returning characters, and I think overall the character work is far better than Eisenhorn. The book has many interesting trails of psykers. The story is great, and the mystery unfolds well.

Fantastic! In many ways better than Eisenhorn

If you are looking for a gripping tale of mystery with the Imperium's finest special agents, than look no further. This brilliant beginning to a series captures the reader and doesn't let go. The Inquisitor Ravenor and his staff each have distinctive a likeable qualities that the narrator portrays with skill. If you enjoy Sci Fi then you will enjoy this unique story with excellent twists. I cant wait to read and hear the next one!

An Exceptional Mystery

Perfectly in theme with the dark and brutal world of warhammer, it dives right into its fast paced stoyline.
Toby Longworth makes this experience even better with his talented voice .

inquisition at its best
