A New Take on Super Powers

Five new Warriors are revealed as they turn 16, and are pursued by some with evil intentions and one (the last) of the "good guys." Although the protagonists are young, this does not read as a YA. The themes are mature with much death and destruction. The narrator couldn't hit all the notes but overall this is a great read/listen.

Not your normal teen heroes

I really enjoyed this story, all of the POV’s were great, they all had the right amount of personality & unique attributes that made this story flow.
It’s not your normal teenage superhero story, I love the idea of the “rebirths & new births”
The narration was good, I don’t usually listen to male narrators, so it took me a little bit to get in the rhythm. But he did a great job!
Overall this was a great book!

Unique idea

Unique, enjoyable, and engaging story. The performance was well done.

Parents: there is some language in this book. Enough to be PG-13 as a film for sure. There is also a scene that could be triggering for those that have suffered from sexual crimes but there isn’t any nudity or lewd descriptions.

A great plot with a very good narration

"Forever Warriors" is the kind of book that you can't stop listening to (or reading, I suppose) once you've started - you just have to know what will happen next:)

In the first few chapters we meat each of the five teenagers that are the protagonists of the story; we find out that they are definitely different from people around them and we learn what peculiar talents they already have or just start to develop. Then we also meat the bad guys - and when we say "bad" we really mean "BAD"... And then things start to happen, the tale unfolds - and we are as much at a loss as to what and why is happening as the kids themselves. This forced ignorance on our part is a great trick, as we just have to listen on to get our answers, and we want them as bad as our heroes themselves. Thus the book turns into a great adventure, discovering both who the kids are and what they can do, and how they will cope with what's coming...

All the characters in the book, the good ones and the bad, are very well portrayed, 3-dimensional and relatable. Their emotions are complex and reactions to the events believable. Also, the mythology of the world - the ancient battle between good and evil and the take on reincarnation - is logical and quite unique.

The interpretation by Mr Mayer is very good; he does equally well both male and female parts. The pace is adequate and his reading clear, you'll have no problem with following the dialogues.

It's a must read/listen for all fans of fantasy.

the book is absolutely incredible one of the best fantasies out there I loved every single second of this book it wasn't enough it's just wasn't enough I want more I need more this book was so beautiful and so well-written the dark Parts the story itself the development everything was interesting and very well written I enjoyed it so very much I can't even describe how much
