Emily Willows is middle-aged, widowed, wealthy, and bored. When she makes those flippant remarks to her son over coffee one Friday, she has no inkling that within a few hours she will be facing the most terrifying situation of her life. Nor could she have guessed that she will be confronting it with the enigmatic young woman who moved in next door a few months ago and who has hardly spoken a word to her since. And neither of them has realized yet that after this meeting, their lives will never be the same again.

Not Sure

The characters in this story were underdeveloped. Lane was somewhat intriguing, but I barely connected with any of them - there just wasn’t enough depth. That said, I can overlook that for now & chalk it up to working the kinks out of a new series

The possible deal breaker for me is Henrietta Meire, who IMO is a below average narrator. I wasn’t able to get past 1st book in the Fen series & not sure if I can overcome both issues here to continue with the series.

Another well written series by granger

Interesting plot and excellent character development. Granger is a sophisticated novelist.. As with the dc series the lane series is certain not to disappoint.

Superb narration. Especially well done are the different speaking styles of various characters.

Exciting

Exciting fast listen, great narration. Would have been fun to have more character development, so looking forward to the next book.!

uninspired narration

the story was ok (it's not dc smith, miss the humor), but the narration was monotone and very bland, just droned in. This could be a much nicer listen with another narrator

Too long, narration not quite right

Story felt drawn out even though the narrator talks so quickly. It could have been a shorter story or a chapter in a longer book. I hoped for a more interesting ending. If I had to do it over, I’d pass on this one.
