What happens in Vegas..is a surprise!

These short mafia romances are quick,well written books sure to keep you listening.The third in the Omerta series, Deadly Ink can be listened to as a stand alone and you won't miss a thing! Apollo, fresh out of jail meets Sierra and the two enjoy a one night stand in Vegas. Little do they know how their lives are intertwined and how this one night will change everything! Roxy Sinclaire weaves a story of intrigue, family and suspense with a romantic twist. Apollo is a loyal to his family man, out to seek revenge for the mistreatment of his father. I love Apollo, he has a big heart, and is able to see where he wants his life to go. He will do anything to keep the people he cares about safe. Sierra is an interesting woman, a little naive in my opinion for the family that she is born into, but she rises to the challenges she faces. While I love the couple, and their journey to a happy ending, I have to say that Sierra's mother is the one that I love the most. Maybe because as a mom, I can relate to her, but she is the one that sacrifices the most in the story for the love of her daughter. This is a fun listen and my favorite of the series.

Holly Holt is the narrator of the book. She has a good pace for her performance, but I found it very difficult to differentiate between the characters. Though her voice is pleasing, it made it hard to know who's point of view I was listening to at times. Roxy's writing for me kept me listening and enjoying the book.

Revenge!

I love Roxy Sinclaire's writing style. I had read this book before listening to it, so I was familiar with the story. The initial setting of this book is Las Vegas, and the imagery is great. Sierra is in Vegas with girlfriends celebrating being finished with nursing school, and meets Apollo (recently released from jail) at a tattoo parlor. They have instant attraction and plan on only one night. Unlike the saying What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas, that is not the case. Revenge, Family Obligations, Mafia, Hot Sex, Love, Hope, Redemption are all themes in this story. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series.The ending of this book is great.
Holly Holt is a new narrator to me. I loved her voice, but could not hear any differentiation between characters. For a book with POV chapters, I find it essential to have distinguishable character voices.

Not chemistry!

I asked to receive this Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. Roxy Sinclaire has such a wonderful talent for writing such fascinating character and plot developments. Sierra and Apollo first meet and there is red hot chemistry between them. We watch this chemistry develop into trust and love. This story has suspense, intrigue, illegal activity, betrayal, hidden secrets, hot sensual love scenes, acceptance of truths about your parents, and people working together to correct wrongs. It held my attention the whole time and I really enjoyed the story. The narrator does an excellent job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters. She is so easy to listen to. I highly recommend this Audible book.

Loved it

I really loved this story. The only issue is that seemed rushed but didn't seem rushed if thay makes sense. It ended with me wanting to know more about the characters. I loved the narrator. I like how she didn't force a man's voice for Appolo's character.

dark and twisted

double dealing, backstabbing, and mountains of lies and secrets. This is so action packed edge of your seat story, and moves quickly, so hold on tight. I was glad some victims got a second chance at happiness that they deserved. The narrator really brought the story to life. Total enjoyment.
