Night Watch
Living in the past is hard. Dying in the past is incredibly easy, especially when there is a serial killer on the loose who targets coppers. Commander Sam Vimes of the City Watch is back in his own rough, tough past, and he has a job to do.

Several Terry Pratchett BBC audio plays

This set of #RadioPlays is one I plan to listen to multiple times. BBC makes some of the best #AudioDrama and I love listening to these radio plays based on Terry Pratchett's Disc World and re-listening to the couple I caught when streaming on BBC iPlayer. The worst I can say about this collection is I personally found the version of Guards! Guards! that Atlanta Radio Theatre Company recorded at a convention (that Mr Terry Pratchett gave permission to be podcast) was slightly funnier and this collection isn't also available in a CD set.
As usually #BBC has very good production quality and they scripts and acting are pretty good. #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Great books, accept last one.

Most books were great and greatly adapted, accept last one which was terrible in my opinion.

Nice abridged Pratchett

Good versions of Pratchett books however as usual they have to be abridged for radio even though they have great actors doing the voices

Excellent Set

At times the narration is hard to hear over the sound effects, but overall very enjoyable.

This is not the books...well no - its radio drama.

If you really want the Pratchett book...buy the Pratchett book - they are great and Stephen Briggs does a fantastic job bringing them to life...Since I have read all of these, some a very long time ago, the dramatization was exactly what I was expecting.
Now you may want to save your credit as all these dramas are probably available on the BBC website. The convenience of having them all together, however, is great. Wish they would have collected them as Nightwatch, witches, unseen university etc but the mixture is good - maybe the next collection.
Why I couldn't give it 5 stars...well the staging/recording itself. The volume goes up and down, there are sections where there are too much background noises, voices talking over one another, odd foley choices and times when you just had to pull the earphones out or risk being deafened. The quality got better as the collection progressed.
Overall, if you were not lucky enough to catch these on BBC, this is your chance to see these books from a different perspective.
