I've listened to other books by Amelia C. Adams, but this was my first one set in Burnt River. What a charming community. Ashley's been struggling with a lot of disappointments and loss. Josh's situation is heartbreaking. He's suffered (and is continuing to suffer) from so much loss. My heart ached for them both, and I loved seeing how they connected and then opened up to each other and then fell in love. *sigh*

Brittany Danyel did a great job with the narration.

An enjoyable well written short contemporary western romance story. This entertaining story is sweet, clean, full of emotion, with sincerity, trust, hope, joy and lots of laughs. The characters are interesting and well developed on their way to a HEA. THe narration was incredibly done bringing more enjoyment to the story.
