From the author of A Bullet in the Neck comes a Western adventure full of hard-hitting action, danger, adventure, humor, and a touch of romance.

Traveling from Massachusetts to California in search of answers to his brother's mysterious death, Will McKinnon encounters an enchanting woman who plunges him headlong into the fight of his life.

Accepting the challenge to be a hero, this city boy rides a horse aptly named Damn You into a harsh land where he doesn't speak the language, faces insurmountable odds against a gang of ruthless gunmen, and assumes responsibility for the fate of several young women.

Inexperience, a lack of self-confidence, and one inconveniently placed rattlesnake hinder his race against the clock to keep an impossible promise to a beautiful woman.

Will is a greenhorn going west to find out what happened to his brother. He meets a girl and tries to save her. It's funny Will learning how to ride and how to stay alive. This is a very good short story. Will trying to save the girls that's been captured is a good story line. For a greenhorn Will does pretty good. I usually don't like short stories but this one is good. Milt Bighley does a good job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

The old west was a era of no justice with out revenge. The characters are realistic and put dust in the reader's face. Ride along and enter this great read. Highly recommend
