Publisher's summary

Always a fighter and a gamer, Lila finds herself in a dungeon with two dumbass guardians and a monster to kill. After she escapes the dungeon, her gamer life is then enslaved to a demon who has only one thing on his mind: training her to kill his new opponent, an NPC named Maddie Vies.

Awesome! Totally Awesome!

I loved listening to this book! This is such a wonderful series and this book continues the awesomeness! Plenty of action and adventure! This is a wonderfully well written series that will keep you entertain for many hours. The stories can be listened to individually but I found listening to them in order helps everything to make better sense. If you enjoy LitRPG then you have to check out this book at least if not the entire series! The narration is awesome and really brings the story to life. Suzanne Barbetta is an excellent narrator who can do so many different distinct voices. She also puts the right amount of emotion into the words. This is an excellent series and I will continue to recommend it to my friends.

A ride on the Dark Side

Lila does not appear as lucky as her sisters when it comes to character creation in Puatera Online.
She finally spawns into Puatera Online but in a dungeon with no safe way out. After dying and re-spawning many times, she is finally strong enough to defeat the dungeon boss and escape.
But as soon as she escapes the dungeon she is captured by a Demon.
As with the other sisters, Lila learns more about herself and her proclivities. She finds an affinity for the dark side and becomes an Assassin. A very good one.
As this is one of the shorter stories of this series, we quickly learn what her masters plans are for her and her thoughts toward what that means to her.
As with each of the sisters, Lila has some glitches to overcome in her game system. But Lila finally manages to get past one glitch that has annoyed her and her sisters alike. Interesting how it almost kills her to fix her system.

As with most series, these seven books are leading up to one major event. Can’t wait for book 8 which I hope will bring all this to an awesome close.

Lila Finds Her Calling

Lila finds that her ever-increasing powers save her yet leave her wanting or yearning for the darker side of her nature. She loves the fighting and sometimes that scares her a little when she thinks of what her twin might think. Lila also finds that she has an admirer and not sure what to think about it yet she doesn't want to dissuade him either. Action-packed and the story keeps you captivated.

What fun...

There are new players (3 sisters, Jessica, Dahlia, and Lila, who've logged into Puatera through a backdoor), and they find themselves literally sucked into the game. They're  alone, stranded in an impossible situation, and on top of that, it's a very glitchy game!
As the title indicates, this tale is all about Lila, and she seems like the most competent player of the three, which is good because whatever is controlling the game seems to have thrown her into the Deep end of the pool. The pain is real, and she needs to play like her life depends on it!

You'll want (or need) to get the other books in this series so you can find out what's happening with Lila's sisters, but don't worry, I'm certain you're gonna like them too! Actually all the story threads are coming together so you're gonna need to play, catch up...

Fun, Quick and Engaging LitRPG

An enjoyable, engaging and distinctly darker continuation of the Magic Sequence portion of Puatera Online.

Pros: The main character was understandable, the game world that they end up trapped inside makes sense and unlike many LitRPG/GameLit books, while there is acknowledgment of player stats and a leveling mechanic in the game, it does not get bogged down in the details of that end of the game mechanics. The character takes a much darker turn than her sisters, although the reasons for that are made clear over time. The story also shows a twist in that some of the NPCs are shown to be potentially truly self-aware, including knowledge that they exist in a game and that the game is glitching.

Cons: Only one minor Con for this book, and it is a matter of preference. The story starts off full en media res, with the main character experiencing glitches when entering (and being trapped) in the game. Lila's personality and situation are established adequately quickly, but this is definitely not the book to start off with for a person new to either Puatera Online or the Magic Sequence within the greater series. The books with Lil'a sisters, on the other hand, could be used for a starting point even for those unfamiliar with the series.

Overall: 4/5 stars, and recommend for anyone looking for a quick, fun listen. You will want to hear more about Puatera and Lila, Dahlia and Jessica after this!

So bloody good!!!!

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I can't say enough how much I have enjoyed this series. Dawn Chapman creates such wonderful characters and a bright and vibrant world in Puatera. After following Dahlia, it is cool to get Lila's perspective (and adventure). The narration is well done, as well. All in all, this is a fantastic series in the LitRPG genre and one you owe it to yourself to pick up, especially if you want something a bit different. Bring on book 8!!!!

The final piece of the puzzle

This book is from the perspective of the third sister that was stuck in the game. She has a very different experience than her sisters. The door is open for more books in this world. The narrator does a very good job telling this tale.

Book 7 in a great LITRPG series

While this is the 7th book in a series they can all be enjoyed on their own though as with any series there would be loss of backstory and character developments. This story shares the tale of the one of the sisters who was trapped in game do to a glitch. Unlike the other sisters she has chosen to walk down a path of darkness. She has become an assassin and a pawn for an even darker power. Will she find her sisters? Will she find a way out of the darkness? Will she kill her latest target? Find out as the amazing world expands and deepens. Well written and well narrated. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher
