Great book

Great book. I’ve enjoyed all of the books I’ve read by Carol Wyer. I had a little problem with one simple part of this book, but not bad enough to make me dislike it. One thing I like about these books is that she adds the detectives’ personal lives to the plots. It adds that extra layer to the character. It makes it feel more real.

Last Lullaby

I loved it!It has lots of twists and turns.The characters are likable. Diane Croft was a fine narrator. I was given this book by the narrator,author or publisher free for an honest review.

A new favorite! May we have more in this series?

Finally (from my first 2019 listen)! I’d been on a streak of disappointing books and “Last Lullaby” had ended it. Starting now my 2025 listen, Author Carol Wyler and narrator Diana Croft are, as always, a well-matched duo as they deliver brilliantly. This British crime thriller is the second book in the Detective Natalie Ward series, and I couldn't agree more with the author's decision to make each installment a standalone. The plot is full of surprises and kept me enthralled as Natalie navigates the complex case. Croft's narration perfectly captures the tension and suspense of the story. When Charlotte Brannon's body is discovered by her husband Adam, Detective Natalie Ward is called to the scene. The killer's chilling calling card – the word “Why?” written in blood – sets the tone for a riveting investigation. As Natalie digs deeper, she uncovers secrets and lies. One of the best in my vast Audible library. Highly recommended! Epic, indeed!
