Really really good book to listen too

Loved it. I’m a huge fan of LJ Shen. All her books are amazing. Can’t wait till there is more!!!

Hooked me!

I was hooked from the moment the kiss was stolen. I was frustrated at times by Francesca but then I reminded myself that she was only 19. Wolfe was such a hard man to like, as time goes by and you uncover his reasons you can't help but fall in love with him. Narrators did a great job bringing all the characters to life.

MORE THAN EXPECTED!

I don't normally comment or rate books (read or audio). But this book...

First, I kept passing this book from my recommended titles. But, I was in a slump and felt like I was reading and listening to the same storyline repeatedly. I was halfway through Chapter 1 and I was hooked! It's not the typical love triangle, mafia, or any one specific topic, which sent me on an emotional roller coaster.

It is more than expected and worth the credit or purchase!

Oh, my heart!

Betrayal, backstabbing, and dark secrets lace this story about a strong willed but virtuous young woman whose betrothal is stolen from her by her father's long ago transgressions. Wolfe Keaton is a dangerous man and absolutely makes Francesca Rossi's blood boil over when their engagement takes her away from her promise to her childhood crush Angelo.
But there's a lot to the story and without adding spoilers, I'm just gonna say it was a pretty addicting ride to the end. And the ending was magnificent.
Savanna Peachwood's narration is the epitome of an emotional, coming of age heroine who knows fights for what she believes in. Stephen Dexter portrayed the Senator with just enough bottled rage in his tones to entice but keep at a distance. Both of these narrators performed amazingly.

interesting love story

i loved how what you thought was going to happen the opposite did. i highly recommend this book.
