THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER!

Starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews * Publishers Weekly * Library Journal

Named a “Must-Read” by TODAY, Us Weekly, Bustle, BuzzFeed, Goodreads, Entertainment Weekly, Publishers Weekly, Southern Living, Book Riot, Woman’s Day, The Toronto Star, and more!

For two sworn enemies, anything can happen during the Hawaiian trip of a lifetime—maybe even love—in this romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling authors of Roomies.

Olive Torres is used to being the unlucky twin: from inexplicable mishaps to a recent layoff, her life seems to be almost comically jinxed. By contrast, her sister Ami is an eternal champion...she even managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a slew of contests. Unfortunately for Olive, the only thing worse than constant bad luck is having to spend the wedding day with the best man (and her nemesis), Ethan Thomas.

Olive braces herself for wedding hell, determined to put on a brave face, but when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning, the only people who aren’t affected are Olive and Ethan. Suddenly there’s a free honeymoon up for grabs, and Olive will be damned if Ethan gets to enjoy paradise solo.

Agreeing to a temporary truce, the pair head for Maui. After all, ten days of bliss is worth having to assume the role of loving newlyweds, right? But the weird thing is...Olive doesn’t mind playing pretend. In fact, the more she pretends to be the luckiest woman alive, the more it feels like she might be.

With Christina Lauren’s “uniquely hilarious and touching voice” (Entertainment Weekly), The Unhoneymooners is a romance for anyone who has ever felt unlucky in love.

Cute, in a creepy way.

I am not a "romance" reader. I do have the Audible romance package. Weird, huh? I don't mind a good story with some romance thrown in. A book with a story that can hold it's own without trash talk and erotic sex to get it through. This book was just that. It was a great book! I laughed! A LOT!!
I highly recommend this book if you are in the mood for some humor, and a little fun chick-lit. The narrators were great too!

Cute, fun story. PG-13 sex, like a rom-com movie.

I loved Cynthia Farrell, but I couldn't get into Deacon Lee. I like enemies-to-lovers stories, and I liked that this spent more time on the sexual tension and romance between the characters than the sex.

Cute, but Tiresome...

This is an adult romance, but it’s written more through the eyes of teenagers. There’s a great deal of self-doubt, on-going negative comments and a general sense of immaturity. Cute, but predictably tiresome.

Predictable, AWFUL MALE READER

While this was mildly entertaining, it was insanely predictable. Story was half baked, fine, but not great. Cynthia Farrell did a great job of reading Olive’s part- she would get 5 stars, but the entire relationship between Olive and Ethan was ruined by Deacon Lee. Deacon would get zero stars for his narration. Deacon was slimy, short, and did not convey Ethan’s personality the way Cynthia did. The overall story idea was “cute” but that’s not enough for me to want to listen again.

Fun but predictable

I was looking for an easy summer read and thought The Unhoneymooners would be perfect. Even though the story was predictable, overall I enjoyed it. The only issue I had was with the narrator. As soon as she did her voice for Ethan she lost me. It was so bro-ey (surfer frat boy?) sounding I was immediately put off by his character. Who talks like that?! I was distracted by the voice for the first half of the story and cringed every time she did his voice. I got used to it toward the end, but I felt I would have enjoyed the book more if I read it.

The Unhoneymooners

I loved it, everything about this book I loved, I loved the characters the fact that they are twins. The brother, the family the lucky or unlucky storyline.

I felt terrible for Olives sister but it was a great twist and it really got the story off on the right foot. Ethan stole the show for me he really is an awesome character, I was rooting for him right from the get-go.

How it all plays out and the epilogue freaking fantastic, I really enjoyed this book can you tell?

The narration was great I enjoyed it and since most of the book was narrated by Cynthia it was interesting I don’t believe I have listened to any of her books before but I will be looking for her from here on out. Also, Deacon’s performance was grand.

Not my favorite by this writing duo

Christina Lauren books are an automatic download for me, but I've found the last couple to be less than stellar, this one included. It wasn't bad, just not great. I didn't feel very invested in the characters and found the "hating" over one moment from years ago was overdone and went on far too long. Even when Ethan had proven to be a decent guy, the enemy role kept creeping in, which became annoying, rather than a build up with fun banter. When an entire story is built on simple misunderstandings, which seem easily resolved, it reaches a point of being tiresome. I didn't love the drama with the secondary characters - the siblings - which also seemed to be a stretch to add another layer to the story.
Certainly provided some entertainment for a long commute, but not what I'd hoped for.

Surprised at how bad this is....

Boring story and unlikable characters with zero chemistry. I"m really surprised Christian Lauren wrote this...The narration was also not great. I like my narrators to sound age appropriate but she sounded 50.

Great Story

Honestly this might be my favorite book. However, the female narration was rough to get through. At times I though Siri was reading me this book. Overall though great book!
