5+/5 Vials of ‘Love-in-Idleness’ Extract…Clever!

YES! I am so engaged in this series which is why I refer to it as one of my top five favorites of all time. It is H.Y. Hanna’s entertaining writing and humor that sparked my interest, but it is the strong and loyal character in Caitlyn, quirky personalities in Widow Mags and Pomona, hint of romance with the handsome Lord Fitzroy, the enigmatic Thane Blackmort, and the underlying mystery of who Caitlyn is that makes me drop everything to read, even reread by listening to my favorite narrator Pearl Hewitt. Additionally, “Witch Summer Night’s Cream” is extremely creative weaving in the premiss that a favorite classic, Shakespeare’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream,” is based on realty where the fairies, the magic, and the love potion really do exist. This is not juvenile ‘hocus-pocus,’ but a realistic approach to the idea that magical creatures beyond our perception exist and are delightful, helpful, and even dangerous. There are several marvelous paranormal cozies that I enjoy, but this is the absolute best!

Pearl Hewitt is an extraordinary narrator who can transport the reader/listener into H.Y. Hanna’s world in the cotswolds. With a range of accents (I love Viktor) and British dialects and a great effort at the voices of the male characters, she presents the tone, emotion, and various personalities enriching the cozy experience. Although you can enjoy this series in print/eBook format, the audio version is outstanding!

This is yet another great edition to the series. I absolutely loved it! On to the next book! :-)

one of my favorite characters in this series is Victor. I just love him and the narrator does such a good job.

Another great book but still wondering who her mother is and why she left her. The suspension is just keeps going. I going to have to get the next one and get started right away
