About this listen

Lucas has big plans. He wants to graduate, go to law-school, and become an advocate for omega rights. To accomplish all that, though, there's a secret he needs to keep - no one can ever discover that he’s omega. So far, everything’s gone to plan, until he finds himself rooming with the hottest alpha on campus.

At first glance, Adam seems to have it all. He's an alpha, a star player on the college football team, and heir to his parents' extremely successful business. His future is secure, except it's not the future he wants. He's not interested in their money or the willing omegas with whom his mother would love to set him up. What he is interested in is his new roommate, though he knows his chances are slim. Lucas is a beta after all, and beta males are rarely interested in other men. Still, he has to try his luck, even if it means disappointing his parents.

A drink too many at a frat party leads to a night of passion and unexpected consequences for both young men. While Lucas fights to save the career he’s always dreamed of, Adam fights to save the family he never knew he wanted. And they learn that, together, all battles can be won.

I will be listening to this one again.

If you prefer to read connected stories in order, I would listen to this book after the Oceanport Omegas series but before the Second Chances series.

I love stories that feature characters that break the stereotypes they should fall in to. We have a very ambitious and focused omega with a very laid back alpha and the way they can each bring out the best in the other.

I thought this was a sweet read but I would have liked to see a bit more going on during the pregnancy. We kind of jumped from the beginning to the end with little in between. I look forward to seeing these guys in future books as their friends figure out their love lives. I would have also liked to hear more about the potential baby names. This could have been played up a bit for more humor.

One tough part to read about was the consideration of abortion (due to personal beliefs) but all ended well.

I'm glad I got the opportunity to read this and I look forward to any more in the series that may come our way.

Nice Okay story.

I liked the plot very much. It is kind of hard for me to get through stories that contain what I may consider having a little more angst that I would prefer. However, I liked this story a lot. Even though this is in the Omegaverse, it still resonates on the pitfalls of having the world judge you simply by your gender assignment. I really liked how the author had the character struggle between having a baby or pursuing the future he envisioned.

Short and sweet

This was a cute and sweet story. Lucas, an Omega hiding his status so he can pursue a law career to advance Omega Rights, and Adam, an Alpha who is still searching for what he wants to do with his life. The story started out a bit slow, and I would have liked a bit more story line on them having a relationship before the "I love you's" but it didn't deter too much from the story.

If you want something sweet and entertaining, this story will fit the bill.

John Solo's narration was spot-on, as always, perfectly capturing the characters and feels of the story.

Cute!

This was a very cute opposites attract kind of story. It's not every day you read an omega hiding as a beta but makes me think about woman in our own society.

This is a great feel good book with some yr at action and wonderful narration.

Roommates to Lovers

It's a short listen but a very enjoyable story. Lucas and Adam start out as just roommates but turn into so much more. Of course Adam didn't know Lucas was an omega which leads to consequences that they must face. Neither one is happy with their lot in life but together they may just be able to build the future and family they have always wanted, they just didn't know it. I really liked watching them grow closer and working together for their future. The narrator did a great job with his interpretation of the characters and the story. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Loved It!!!

Lucas is hiding a secret - he is an omega using heat/scent blockers in order to pass as a beta. In a world where Omegas still have a huge battle to fight for rights to succeed in certain careers, Lucas feels if the truth comes out, he will lose his chance at becoming a lawyer. But then the attraction to his Alpha roommate Adam becomes too much and leads o a drunken hookup without protection amidst his unexpected heat... and a surprise pregnancy that will have both Adam and Lucas re-examining what they want most out of life. They will have to work together, if they both want to hold on to their dreams.

Great characters and a great love story. I love the Oceanport Omega stories and this is a spin off of that, featuring a new generation of Omegas and Alphas finding love and trampling obsticles. I definitely recommend this book.

John Solo narrates this book and does a phenomenal job. With each character being given their own voice's the personalities shine and the story is brought to life for the listener. Easy to lose yourself in their world fully. Loved the experience.

Amazing

I love Oceanport and am happy to be back there in this story with their spons. I liked the two main characters and quickly became invested in their journey. Many emotional highs and lows and obstacles to overcome before a hea!! I look forward to more from this author. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters and story to life.

Roommates

How does one continue to keep his secret when the alpha of his dreams becomes his roomate? Lucas has been hiding his omega status for sometime now but when Adam comes to be his new roommate their lives will be forever changed.

I enjoyed Lucas and Adam's story. Lucas has sen the worst that can happen to an omega and he is determined to fix the way things are now and having any kind of relationship with Adam is only asking for trouble. Even knowing this Lucas lets his guard down and the trouble comes calling. Adam and Lucas are meant for each other and it seems that nothing will stand in their way. It was nice to watch their relationship begin to take shape. Trust and love are earned in this story and Adam steps up and shows what a good man he is. The two make a nice couple and it was nice to see them fight for what they want. The author does a good job if bringing depth to these characters and their story. Narrator John Solo does a wonderful job of keeping the story flowing and bringing life into this story. I was quickly lost in the adventures of Lucas and Adam as I listened to the narration of their story.

Or Something More

While this is a stand alone it is at the edge of the Oceanport series and some of the younger generation are side characters in this story. Lucas has big dreams and is willing to hide who he really is to get it. Adam knows who he is but is a bit confused about his feelings for his roommate. Of course things get out of hand and then a whole lot of truth has to come out. But Adam is strong enough to go with the roll and continue to support Lucas' dreams. Lucas also learns that you can be true to yourself without sacrificing all your dreams. I loved how these two work it out and get it together.
