Seeking a paranormal world amongst the living? Prefer life as you listen to it in dark novels where unexplained deaths and disappearances invariably transpire in the old city of New Orleans? Longing to meet a vampire? Wanna walk in the Quarter with another misfit, yet charming gothic girl? Hoping for intelligent bantering, endless romance, and a bit of spooky voodoo stirred into this tale?

Drawn to the city of New Orleans, Sybella Rose seeks answers hidden in mausoleums of lore, and she soon discovers that history and mystery walk together in this world filled with more dead than the living. As this recipe for love and power is revealed, Sybella Rose tastes a bit of rebellion, befriends a lonely ghost, and drowns deliciously in the essence of a certain vampire before finally succumbing to her inevitable end.

I absolutely love stories set in New Orleans and this one was amazing! Victoria does an amazing job with describing the atmosphere and setting to where you can actually picture being there. This book is filled with ghosts, voodoo, vampires, magic, and yummy food! I really liked Sybella, Josephine, and Marie because they were relatable and written well. I wish that this wasn’t a standalone book, but I’m definitely going to check out more of Victoria Clapton’s work!
Teresa does a really good job narrating this book! I loved that she could bring the characters and story to life with her performance. She had different voices for each character and they were done very well. I feel like the pauses between chapters were unnecessarily long though.

Victoria Clapton painted an alluring tale with her vivid imagery and details. I have always been intrigued by New Orleans, and found it to be the perfect setting of The Binding. I was drawn to the character of Sybella Rose, her cat Marie, and Demien. The storyline was original, had plenty of steam, some endearing characters, and great details. I loved the historical details that were injected into the story that gave it authenticity. Teresa Booth impressed me with her performance. She brought the characters to life with her distinguishable voices. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

the storyline was good. I had a hard time understanding the narrator when she changed her voice. I was kept interested though. but had to go back a few times to understand

GOOD BOOK

I can deal with the little kid sounding narrator. Her accents are so bad I want to fast forward through those parts. That’d be half the book though.

It’s the same sort of plot you think it is.

Horrific accents
