Simplistic story with a lot of gratuitous violence

Spoiler alert: Lizbet is the only character worth a damn and she is used and treated badly, the men are both/all fools.

A Queen's Knight

The title is a bit misleading, during this adventure Richard is far from the shining knight in armour. Indeed he succumbs to drug addiction and finds himself very much scraping the bottom the barrel. After he's hit rock bottom there is only one way to go really - back up.

Another Exciting Instalment

This story follows on from A Queen's Mercenary, at the end of that book it looked as if Richard and Jack had lost everything, but it seems they had a lot more to loose! Jack, with Lizbet's help, gets Richard to Malta where he is forced to make a stand and save them all.

Action Packed

Sword fights, battles, assassins and family feuds. To say there is a never a dull moment is a cliché, but it is true. Fast paced and well narrated. Actually googled Edward Devereux, and the story fits in so well with the book – maybe that’s exactly what did happen to him!

Enjoyed it

Got this on the whispersync so I could read and then switch to audio. This worked really well, and the narration is at a good pace and entertaining.
